    Innocent until proved guilty?

I don't think you'd get many people volunteering to be magistrates if this was part of their training (it's unpaid, after all). In fact I have been a magistrate for 10 years, we do visit prisons as part of our training so we know what it's like in there. We also visit Police stations to see...

new to the forum, new to ebikes but looking to get involved.

Welcome Skerly, I'm a Juicy Bike fan myself but that won't be your style! Good luck with whatever you decide to get and I'm sure that if you start asking questions under the 'Which electric bike should I buy', you will get lottsa' help!

    Leaving the EU

Nothing wrong with talking politics but it shouldn't be beyond the means of communication for intelligent people to speak respectfully of others on the forum. As I have said before on this very thread, having a different point of view from another doesn't make that person stupid or disgusting...

A bit strong methinks, and I for one, am a bit unhappy with that comment TBH.

    Leaving the EU

I don't think that David Cameron actually made the decision that he was going to wage a propaganda war. Surely his aim was to get the best deal that he could in order to pursuade the British public to stay in the EU? The fact that he hasn't managed to get that deal doesn't seem to me to be due...

    Maximising range

I am more likely to be joining the mile high club than the 50mph crowd on Juicy Lucy! :D:p

So might as well be in 0 assist under those circumstances?

    Maximising range

But I do generally pedal downhills, or at least I sometimes do, so turning the assist to 0 means I use no battery (doesn't it...?)

I forgot to mention, use assist at 0 going downhills, no point in having any assist on if you are doing a downhill stretch.

Oh, now I feel a bit embarrassed about my 23mph:(

I haven't been ebiking for long but I find that, though it sounds obvious, just be happy to bumble along rather than feeling like you have to be a racer all the time. It's great to go as fast as you can sometime (I managed 23mph on a downhill bit, pedalling like fury the other day):D. But it's...

    London E-bike owners needed!

I was reading through this thread and was going to post about this type of accident in London, as I suspect that publicity maybe mid way through last year may have had an impact on the accident rate for cyclists. I seem to recall that there was a lot of press about lorries being unsighted and...

Any reviews/advice on Beat Bike or Kwikfold Pro?

Glad to be able to help. I have not given alternative suggestions to you as I know nothing about folders. If you do a search on this forum for 'folding bikes' you will get some more info, and others will no doubt be along to help.

    Four miles of sunshine

That explains why I heard Juicy Lucy humming to herself in the garage the other day. I thought hubby had put some gin and tonic in her battery recharger.:D
