    Have I missed anything?

Oh Trex, don't be naughty and rain on my parade! :(o_O With having a ceiling of £1000, any crank drive that we try out would be common garden as well. Our initial thoughts about the crank drive system were that it would take us up the hills better, but having tested a hub drive and noted how...

    Have I missed anything?

Well we have just bought the Vita Uno 26 for hubby here: http://londonelectricbike.com/electric-bike/vita-uno-26/ which is actually a tarted up Kudos Cobra at a really silly price!! And I am about to give Juicy a call to buy a Juicy Classic for me here...

You are right Trex with regard to the Vita, I have confirmed it with a call to Kudos.

    Have I missed anything?

I take your point - a bit like computers isn't it? We have decided to buy having mulled things over. That test ride at Juicy really opened my eyes actually. I have spoken to someone at Kudos (not Dave), and he confirms that the Vita is set to start assist and can't be changed.

    Have I missed anything?

I must admit, the Juicy was set to walk/start assist when I tested it and I used it to stand up on a steep hill, and when I set off at a lights but other than that I used the pedals which seemed to get me up the hill easily.

    Have I missed anything?

On one controller that I have seen, a press of a few buttons in the right sequence changed the bike from walk assist to full throttle!

It's handy surely if you want a rest from pedalling isn't it?

    Have I missed anything?

I have spoken to Tom at LEBC Dave and he has the Vita throttle set at walk assist, and isn't sure whether it will open up to 25km. Looking at the Cobra, I'm pretty sure it does have full throttle. LEBC have put all rounder tyres onto the Vita and I'm ready to buy this bike but could you confirm...

Sounds fair enough, we'll phone them tomorrow and I'll let you know how we get on. Thanks Dave.

    Have I missed anything?

Does it come with road/track tyres or mountain bike tyres? If it's mountain bike tyres can they be changed for us (pretty please :))? Hubby is VERY interested.

This looks really interesting. Is it rear motor Dave (we know your Cobra is rear motor).

That's really good news Andy, so glad you enjoyed the first ride. I'm sure your right about the bike weight. He is currently looking at this: http://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/Item/Brands/Green_Edge/Greenedge_CS2_Electric_Mountain_Bike_-_Pre_Order.aspx Which is super light and gets good reviews at...

Which is more ethical - Woosh or Cyclotrocity?

I was talking to Bob at Juicy Bikes yesterday and they buy from China. However, Bob visits the factory out there 3 times a year and the factory adhere to certain good practice such as working 8-5 rather than all hours. He didn't go into it in great detail but if you chat with him he will tell...

    Have I missed anything?

Today we had an interesting experience whilst searching out a bike for hubby. We ventured into Halfords in Horwich, near Bolton to look at the Carrera Crossfire, which I checked was in stock before going. We couldn't find any electric bikes there and when I asked about the Carrera I saw that...

    Have I missed anything?

Thanks for your interest. I am intending to go to Valley bikes next week but I am very convinced having had the test ride at Juicy yesterday that our hill is not going to be a problem for it. On the steep hill we went on, I ended up not using the throttle, in third gear with 2 out of 3 assist...

You don't sound over-chuffed with it Andy, no regrets I hope? Did you enjoy the ride?

    Have I missed anything?

The Tornado is over our limit Dave, maybe the Cobra but we have a wider range of bikes to look at now thankfully.

    Have I missed anything?

Had a test ride at Juicy's today and I think I am in love - not with 'buxom Bob', although he was terribly nice, but with the Juicy Classic! Furthermore hubby rode with me on a rear hub driven Juicy Sport and whilst he had reservations about the style of the bike, he seems converted to a hub...

    Have I missed anything?

Thanks for getting back Andy. We are pretty sure the bear is going to be too big for both of us and now we have a plan to see some bikes over the next couple of weeks (Juicy today, Bolton Electric Bikes next week and the Electric bike shop in York in early December), I feel a bit more happy...
