    Mobile phone holder

Quadlock are a bit pricey & require you to use the bulky Quadlock case for the phone but are very well made & 100% reliable. I use an old iPhone 6 just for Google Maps, Tom Tom & BikeMap etc & have a Quadlock mount on three of of our bikes to hold it.

E-bike accessories and clothing and running costs (extreme shopping frenzy)

There is more to the story than was originally reported. The £100,000 costs was a bit of spin & media exaggeration. The guy eventually settled & most of it was covered by a crowdfunding appeal. The judge had ruled that both were equally to blame for the accident on a busy junction near London...

    Buying used e-bikes

We have now bought three used Woosh bikes at 30-40% the price of a new one. A Petite at £450 for the wife & a Sundowner at £500 & a Big Bear at £345 for me. All in exceedingly good condition & very low mileage (just 26 miles on the Big Bear) & despite being up to six years old none of the...

    Battery life

As noted re-celling is not cheap but the quote I had from Jimmy of £300 for my 8.8A battery would have upgraded it to 14A & the price included collection & return by courier.

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

How long do the batteries last on those GPS trackers? There is no mention in the specs.

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Just a quick update. It took all of 30 seconds to unlock with one of mid-size jiggler keys so I now have the battery off & charged. Thanks for the suggestion. I doubt a locksmith would have charged just £14.95 & I am now set up for when we lose other keys. I still need to remove the lock to...

    New ebike kit recommendations?

Bikemap is a good app. You can record your own journeys & upload for other & download routes to try yourself. Google Maps is free & good for directions. I've had the TomTom app on my iPhone for over 10 years mostly use it when driving but as a satnav it's the best. As noted headphones are a...

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Perfect! I'm interested in being able to easily remove the battery from the bike for storage or security & not too bothered about the likelihood of somebody else removing the battery especially as it will appear to be locked.

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Thanks for all the suggestions I'll let you know how I get on. This business with the lock has made me realise that my wife & I now have 5 bike battery locks (currently only 4 keys:)). It would be great if we had 5 locks all the same so we only needed one key. You can easily buy multiple keys...

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Thanks I really like this suggestion. It will be cheaper than getting a locksmith & I'm always happy to acquire new skills & picking locks could lead to a whole new career opportunity :)

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

Thanks for the suggestion. The battery is locked onto the bike so drilling out the lock is going to be the cheapest course of action.

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

I have just bought a secondhand Woosh Big Bear from one of their customers advertised on their website https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?secondhand so I'm pretty sure it's not stolen:) Unfortunately the seller has lost the keys. It's in great condition as although it's 6 years old it's only done 26...

petition to increase the speed limit

You didn't answer the question. How much did they cost? Then as a supplementary question what would 2.4KWh of solar cost to have installed now? I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile for me to do it.

petition to increase the speed limit

How much did those solar panels cost & what is their lifespan?

petition to increase the speed limit

I'm with you 100%. I don't see any need to increase the assisted speed limit beyond 25kph. It's plenty fast enough. If you want to go faster on two wheels get a speed pedelec or a moped or a motorbike.

    length of lockdown?

That figure the case fatality rate (CFR) is wildly skewed because the people who mostly get tested are those who are sick enough to need hospital admission. There has been more testing in other countries of those with mild or no symptoms so the CFR is much lower there eg Germany or US.

Puncture on rear wheel on electric bikes!

That lukewarm review is from 3 years ago. The tyres are pricey at £90 a pair. https://www.geckorubber.co.uk/how-to-buy---fit.html I can recall seeing solid tyres on the market in various gaudy colours 25-30 years but they never seemed to take off. I'm tempted to try a pair of the Gecko tyres...

Puncture on rear wheel on electric bikes!

You will also need a penknife or pair of scissors to cut the punctured tube in half to get it out of the tyre.
