Why were Full Throttles banned in 2016?

Wisper will upgrade any of their bikes to full throttle for £300. They claim that they are fully road legal in the UK. https://wisperbikes.com/full-throttle-option/

    Wisper Move saddle rearwards?

I have a Wisper 705 with torque pack. I like the step through design but I just can't get comfortable on the saddle. I have adjusted it so it's as far rearwards as possible but still I'm most comfortable if I were seated 10-15cm (4-6") further rearwards. Is there some gizmo that would enable me...

Two boys die in "ebike" accident: Cardiff riot broke out after 'police prevented parents seeing fatal crash victims', close relative says

A fatal injury doesn't need any speed at all. Toppling over sideways while stationary is all that is necessary for a fatal head injury if the head collides with the ground a lamp post or other immoveable object. It's exactly this sort of low/no speed accident that a cycle helmet will protect...

    LifePo4 ebike full build

A couple of years ago I exchanged email with them at sales@rallydesign.co.uk I got the message "We have black or silver only and size 43cm only in stock now."

    LifePo4 ebike full build

I didn't realise the significance of the LiFePO4 battery but they still had stock when I inquired a couple of years ago. The Kudos Safari looks a bargain at £695. http://www.kudoscycles.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=275

My Raleigh Motus Grand tour after 3 years and 10,000 miles

What do you find so wonderful about the Rohloff speedhub? I have a Nexus 7 on one of my eBikes & find it superior to derailleur eg changing gear while stationary.

Is this a technical breach of the law? Uncertain

If the lights show both a pedestrian & a cycle then it's a Toucan crossing & you are permitted to cycle across. Apparantlyince “two can” cross together (both pedestrians and cyclists) the name “toucan” was chosen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toucan_crossing

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

France did not have North Sea oil so made a strategic decision to ensure they had energy security. They have also have some wind, hydro & even tidal energy generation. There was a small amount of coal but the mines were closed years ago.

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

The full CCTV footage has not been released. There is other footage seen by the judge & jury that evidently was far more incriminating than that which we have seen. Det Sgt Dollard, who interviewed Grey, told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'll always remember the morning after it occurred...

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

It's the judge who does the sentencing the jury only decide on guilt or innocence. TBH I'm not sure why there needs to be a specific offence of "Causing death by dangerous driving" when the offender could be charged with Manslaughter.

Pedestrian causing cyclist death gets 3 years prison

Tantalisingly the CCTV footage doesn't cover the point where contact was made but it is certainly my impression from the video that the pedestrian actually shoved the cyclist into the road. It's actually irrelevant to the charge of manslaughter whether she made contact or not as she was...

Dan Walker warns cyclists after bike crash - 'The helmet I was wearing saved my life'

Do you have any recommendations for a full face cycle helmet? Currently my wife & I each use a brilliant helmet from Sena that has a Bluetooth intercom system so we can chat to one another while out cycling. The only full face Sena helmets seem to be motorcycle helmets so much bigger, heavier &...

    Brake disc wear

When I collected my Wisper 705 the original owner used a little torque wrench set when he dismantled the bike enough to get it onto the rear seat of my Jaguar S-type. I was so impressed that I ordered the same torque wrench set from Wiggle the next day...

    Nasty pothole

Road surfaces in the UK have deteriorated terribly in the last 12 years of Tory austerity with the ever increasing squeeze on council budgets. The vast majority of council expenditure goes on items like adult social care & children's services that they have a statutory duty to provide so it's...

    trackers / theft protection

How accurate are these trackers? Are they really going to pinpoint an address? I had a GPS tracker for my cat that only seemed to be accurate to within 100m.

Why car drivers DO NOT see cyclists

Sadly all forums are dying. I have participated in many for years & years but few new users are joining as everyone uses Facebook groups nowadays even though they are vastly inferior.
