Last chance to order the Swytch complete eBike kit for £225

Well, still drumming fingers & I note that the 'almost certain' April 2018 delivery date has slipped to June 2018.

    Skinny Off Road Tyres

The Land Cruisers aren't impermeable to punctures, but do offer quite a bit of protection these days. I have them on my Oxygen MTB and haven't had a puncture despite using them on x-country bridleways. The central ridge offers low rolling resistance on roads too. I shall be putting them back on...

Park Tool CM5.2 Cyclone Chain Scrubber

I've got one of the Park Tool cleaners and it is brilliant. I've had several of the cheap ones and worn them out in no time. The PT one is sturdy and the sponges & brushes do more of a cleaning job than the cheaper ones. All the internal brushes/sponges are replaceable too, so it should never...

    Completely new to E-bikes

Another vote for an Oxygen MTB. Very good value bit of kit.

    Battery not Charging

Right, I've secured a plug so I can strip the wires and check the voltage. I know it's not the charger, as it charged my Oxygen fine. If it's the fuse, I'll know what to do, but if the BMS has shut down, what are the next steps?

    Battery not Charging

Naiive question: I have a multimeter & know how to use that, but how do I take a measurement from the charge socket? Is it a fiddly job of placing one pointy thingy (technical term) on the tiny terminal in the middle of the socket and the other pointy thingy on the outside terminal of the socket?

    Battery not Charging

My Panda Pro kit's battery, bought from BGA isn't charging. I wondered why only 3 lights on the battery case lit up. It was fine until I stopped using it about 6 weeks ago, and since then it's been stored on the bike, with one charge during the lull. The bike worked fine last week when I took...

Go to work on a Pineapple! Wisper Folder sneak preview.

I'm late to the thread, but I'd like to see it folded, please. Also, the black theme is somewhat broken up by the seatpost. Can't you get one of those in black too? The only downside is the zig-zagging that you might get if there's a pinch point in the seat tube. As for naming, Wisper Noir...

    Panda Pro/Orbit Orion Conversion

Well, I am going to put my hands up and admit I'm an eejit! When I actually went to change the wheel on the Orbit to one I bought off eBay, I noticed that it wasn't as I described above (I never actually looked closely & just assumed it was the hub gone tits up!). It was the chain that had come...

    Herbalrick - Kosher?

Did anyone else get a message from this guy? He may well be completely kosher, but I got a private message about my Mezzo that hasn't been followed up. Normally I would ignore that, but this guy appeared on the forum, then answered my ad and hasn't been heard of since. That has the hallmarks of...

Yes, please start a separate thread. This is ostensibly about Oxygens and experiences thereon...

Slow ride home for me too & not a pleasant journey. The Ice Spikers are fine on ice, but not at all good on snow & slush & that is what I had to contend with a lot of the ride and I was tramlining constantly. I nearly had an off in Kenilworth in a queue of traffic I was riding around. The outer...

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

Can't say I've noticed, but then I do put quite a bit of effort in myself and try to be in a lowish gear before ascending hills. How do you know it's overheating whilst riding? Does it affect performance?

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

-4C again today and a little more snow, so the paths were getting a little rutted. Ice I can handle, but not deeply rutted, frozen snow. I took the short route, so the thumbs weren't quite as cold today, but still painful. The gentleman who hooted me when I had the audacity to pull out from a...

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

I am wearing lobster claw gloves with a silk under lining. It's only the thumbs that get cold. Only a few days to endure, then I'll hope the spring springs.

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

No bridleways today! -4C when I set out. Despite winter gloves and glove liners, my thumbs were numb with cold by the time I arrived 36 minutes later. The rest of me stood up well. There was quite a dusting of snow overnight, so the Ice Spikers were needed. I am glad of their grip, although...

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

It was quite fun, in a masochistic sort of way :) I will do the same the rest of the week, although I shall skip the rutted fields. On the way home the path had thawed and it was a bit muddy, but not off-puttingly. Hopefully it will be freezing all day the rest of the week and frosty on the...

    Oxygen E mate MTB13AH

Given the hard frost we had, I took the bike cross-country today. The bridleways were hard due to the frost. That was fine on the first stretch, where I was on relatively flat farm tracks, but once I got to the fields near Kenilworth, I hit rutted animal tracks. When I got to a bridge, I got off...

What to do, what to do.

I hadn't experienced front wheel slip until I converted my Orbit hybrid. It's set up with high-ish bars, so a relatively upright riding position; i.e. most of the weight is on the rear of the bike. I get wheel slip with my Marathon + tyres when going uphill in cold weather, but only when putting...
