    Kbebikes?

What is tax and insurance like on them? And is registration much of a problem? Taken from KBEbikes website. How on earth do they get away with it? Quite ironically it actually states on same website Police will give you a ticket and could impound motorcycle for riding on the "street"...

Tongsheng TSDZ2 review and build tips.

I fitted same kit to a 24 inch wheel /youths mtb for 9 Yr old grand son. Hardest bit, as mentioned by OP was removing bottom bracket. After that quite an easy conversion. Bike works perfect, I don't allow him to use it on roads/pavements etc (U14 rule for ebikes) but we have a great private...

    Michael Sheen's demotivating speech worked

Anybody else find Sheen's speech self indulgent drivel. I, ve got Welsh blood somewhere in background and find all this "Welsh relying on emotion, soul searching miserable songs and rousing Henry 5th type speeches" insulting. The overweight bearded fool Sheen could perhaps go out and play for...

We have vine trees in our garden (Rotherham) and last few years have produced an abundance of grapes.. If left on vine till October they are sweet and perfectly edible. (apart from the seeds)

Mud and crud is like Guiness.. It gets everywhere. I, ve got big mudguards, by mtb standards, on Giant. Still come home caked in it after chewing through Derbyshire mud. Different to commuting tho, getting scruffy is all part of the fun.. Allegedly.

Yep, I do know what you are talking about. Find similar on mine. In highest power setting the bike is more in control whereas in lower ones everything feels more natural and intuitive. But, I have got to point in lowest setting I don't think motor is helping.. I have to switch off completely to...

I see point of splitting motor from crank for wear reasons but you, d also be losing access to gears for motor. Agreed motor is more capable of coping with spreading torque over a wide range and system could have bility to dump current into it at low rpm to up torque, but the system where torque...

I totally agree with all this. If you look back I was not suggesting hub drives no not have their place and benefits. They obviously do, but they also have their drawbacks, specifically the hub motor does not have access to the range of gearing a crank drive does. To my way of thinking that...

    Sprocket wear

Yep, I strongly suspect bike was built without any lubrication on bearings?? Had an argument with them too. Took bike back with noisy front bearing, picked it up 4 days later... Making same noise. Their argument "bearings shouldn't wear out so quick so we greased them" Words were exchanged, ...

    Sprocket wear

Yep, agreed. I got 3k on each cassette on Haibike, point is I, d expect wear over 1k miles and considering use bike gets put to, conditions I use it in and my not inconsiderable bulk I, d be happy changing the lot every 1000 miles or so, yearly??? .(for some odd reason both wheel bearings...

    Sprocket wear

I agree totally with that Woosh but saying crank drives inherently wear out drive components by default is wrong. It's either abuse via torque of rider or simple wear and tear consummate with usage. At riding weight of 105kg on ordinary mtb I could wear out same parts in similar mileages...

Just to offer perspective. There is a common misconception that power transmission is the culprit for chain wear. It isn't. As I mentioned earlier the major influence is actually torque, which with chain drives exhibits itself with a difference in tension between the driven side and the slack...

Yo Mmm. We might get somewhere if you took as much trouble reading other poster's opinions as you do expressing your own. My Haibike (mid drive, obviously) has done 6000 hard off road miles on 2 chains, 2 rear cassettes and original chain ring. I weigh 105kg and I am very hard on chains/sprockets Your obsession against mid drive does not make sense at all. Torque and its rapid inappropriate (mid gear) application...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Took my Giant Fathom (500wh) about a dozen charges before I saw it hit 100%..Initially took it back saying it wouldn't charge above 97%,they did diagnostics and insisted it was fine. I didn't believe them but they have been proven correct. It reads 100% after charging now. (that first 1% lasts...
