    Brexit, for once some facts.

The key word is “may” so it is by no means certain and therefore can not be relied upon when justifying a situation.

Erm, out of about 54,000. For reasons known only to yourself, you are counting the non voters as Soubry supporters. It’s exactly that sort of manipulation that discredits an argument. I’d like to see us remaining in the EU, but the above example indicates exactly why it will be an uphill battle.

So potentially the majority of the Broxtowe constituents feel betrayed and let down by their MP. That’s ok is it? You would endorse that as being a good way to take people with you on your ambition? I think it’s that sort of attitude which has been Remain’s major downfall all along. People...

I agree with what you say up to this point. Don’t get me wrong, I support what they are doing and the idea of a second referendum. A second referendum is such a decisive and contentious issue that the process has to be whiter than white, no margin for claims of unfairness or a stitch up. Take...

Whilst I quite like the idea of this breakaway group of MPs who have declared themselves independent, I think there is some justification in calling for them to stand down as MPs and fight a by-election. After all, most of them are calling for a second referendum on the basis that things have...

Apparently he has been known by the name of Chris Failing in Westminster circles for some time.

You are one of the more rational and balanced posters on here, so I always pay attention to what you say. On this subject I have read your post thoroughly, but I can’t agree with you. We have widely varying opinions that I don’t think will ever meet, but I respect you and your opinion.

Good. Now let’s hear no more.

She isn’t being sentenced or punished, which is the end product of a successful investigation and trial. She is being allowed to fulfill her ambition of leaving the U.K. and all of it’s values. I know some will mock those values and say they are flawed, but she chose to exchange what she had...

I understand perfectly, but I completely disagree with you.

I’m not aware of any plans to expand the policy beyond the adult in question. Now let’s hear no more about the subject. It’s been dealt with and can be forgotten.

I take your point on that. It’s not beyond possibility that some companies have been “asked” not to quote Brexit when announcing their closures in return for, who knows what.

This is not your business. If you want to interfere, go to the person and help them directly.

I don’t like the sound of that. I hope this group of 8 gets large enough to have influence & force another referendum.

I said as much in my post. The point is you can’t blame everything on Brexit. By all means single out things which you can, but not everything.

Yes Corbyn is certainly resolute in his ambition to make the Labour Party entirely unelectable for a decade. It looks like we are going to be stuck with TM.

As much as it pains me to say it, there are aspects of the above which I agree with. The U.K. shouldn’t pick convenient fights. We should stay out of the internal conflicts which are far away and non of our business. I can’t quite bring myself to reach for the agree button though.

There were companies on your list which would have taken the same decisions to close regardless of Brexit. There are some on your list which have undoubtedly been adversely influenced by Brexit, but my point is that you can’t blame everything on Brexit. It becomes background noise.

The adult in question chose to leave the U.K. to join a IS. The long term plan has failed. They must now be forgotten about and are no longer of any concern. According to you, the U.K. is an unsatisfactory place to live. I’m happy with that, so the adult in question can live outside the uk...
