    One for the Mathematicians

No JH. Done it a couple of times - in fact was over to Lanhydrock playing (without horse flies) today. Had a few probs of late that have taken me up country. Busy week this week but good to meet up on a good day in November. Yours or ours?

    One for the Mathematicians

How many calories have I burnt!!! So ... this year so far My Garmin Edge GPS tells me I have: Cycled 2300 miles In 200 hours Gained 179,000 feet in elevation And burnt 172,000 calories!!! Of course I haven't burnt anything like that on my electric bikes .. but I'd like an idea of how many I...

Recommend me a ebike MTB shop (Hiabike, Cube, KTM...ect)

Hi Glassman I got my Cube from Rich and Paul at: http://www.racecouk.com/ in Stourbridge W. Midlands No one else I tried had stock at the time. They had - off the shelf - and gave me a discount - and sent it to me in Cornwall carriage free. Very helpful guys.

Second that. I've got a badass dongle as well on my Cube. Works a treat and I've had great service from Lui.

So I went to a trail centre...

= average15kph .... for the Beast .... which is perfectly respectable for us retired gentlefolk JH in my opinion. Don't think I'd want to go a lot faster!!! I like to see the steep drops unblurred.

    Woosh - more dreadful service

Just for the record. Some time ago I ordered a bike from Woosh, which I subsequently had to cancel owing to a change in my circumstances at the time. I have seldom received such pleasant, honest and helpful service from a company, and from Hatti in particular, when I have been purchasing...

KTM or Cube? Bosch or Panasonic?

I've just purchased a Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 29er ... similar to your SUV ... 21'' frame again ... and, like you, couldn't be more pleased with it. The build quality seems very good to me and it has certainly dealt with steep rocky climbs and descents just as capably as the tarmac in the two...

Torque or speed sensor - preferences?

Wrong again d8veh!! Don't possess any lycra or cycling shoes. Shorts or Ron Hill tracksters and Merrell sandals ( without socks of course!!) on both :)..... and the damage to the calves from the pedal studs to prove it :(.

Torque or speed sensor - preferences?

As Jackhandy's mate with the shiny new 29er, here's my two penn'orth also. First and foremost, if horsefly bites upset you as much as they do me, you can get ANY bike up to top side of 20mph to get away from them!! Seriously though, I can agree with pretty well everything said in JH's post...

    Hi from Cornwall

Hi Truro Pastyman Just as a comparison to your Bugle experience you may like to have a go on my converted 27 speed hybrid. Maybe on Mitchell Hill or similar. May help you decide which way to go I think. Let me know. I often bike into Truro from Perranwell along the lanes. Tony

    Battery Charging - Opinions Please

When I get back from a longish ride with an empty Ezee 36v 14ah battery I usually do things 'by the book' and immediately put it on charge for 4.5 hours or so, then switch the charger off when fully charged. However, for various reasons, there are occasions when I get back late and only have...

    Waterproofing

So you should - I haven't got much! Fancy a day out in your neck of the woods when I get my wheel fixed (again)?

    Waterproofing

A wet suit provides a layer of water resistant flexible foam (neoprene) that acts as insulation and keeps out MOST of the water. Some water does get in at your neck, wrists and ankles, maybe a little general seepage . This water warms quickly to body temperature and provides a little more...

    Bit of a bummer.....

Hello Lynda As a relative newbie I haven't really got to know you. However, I can see from your posts here that you are a very strong willed, brave and positive lady. Every good wish for your treatment from here on. About this time last year I flew to Beziers (£10 each way from Bristol with...

    700c conversion?

Ideal then - and occasionally you can leave the wife at home, steal her battery, and go for an ENORMOUS ride on your own!!!! :)

    700c conversion?

Hi Geoff I'd pretty well concur with JH on range. I usually stick on level 2, which to my mind gives maximum help on hills (higher levels just increase speed on the flattish stuff, which uses more battery and is not necessary for my needs) On level 2, I get around 32 miles. My rides are...
