    Batteries and the cold

Does the battery generate heat as its working? What if we had little puffa jackets for the battery :P would that help efficiency?

whisper 905SE back wheel removal procedure

That's exactly what happened to my back tyre too, then I started getting loads of punctures in the front wheel a bike mechanic said it could have been because the tyre wall had collapsed and was pinching the inner tube. I've had better tyres fitted to the bike, they are much more sturdy but...

    Cold

Thats quite admirable but I'm not sure I'd continue if there was ice on the roads etc.

    Cold

I love riding my wisper but decided to have a 10 degrees c cut off point as my legs have stopped working in the cold. I keep looking at the BBC weather page to find out when I can get back on my bike but its not looking promising. Depending on public transport is killing me and I cant wait to...

    e-biking over winter

Ahh you ride through the park too..have you also been diverting to Crooms hill now that the park shuts early? And can you ride all the way up it...hehe I heard about the accident too, its quite a dangerous hill for cyclist, the cycle path is useless, but I find riding at a steady medium pace...

    Bike vs Car

My 12.5 mile cycle commute is faster than taking 2 buses and a train...I guess that's not surprising though...

    e-biking over winter

Hi David :) I'm not sure whether the range has dropped or not as the indicators seem to be behaving weirdly in the cold, dropping to red then flickering on green (I travel 25 miles per day), my journey home seems much harder, but its also colder and I have had to change my route to include a...

    e-biking over winter

I've been winter commuting on my wisper 905se and have found the experience quite painful in the cold. The battery is dying really quickly, with the green light flickering on and off after just a few miles, the sport mudguards leave my back covered in ice cold water and grit from the roads...

    One year on...

Yes , I've lost about a stone since I got the Wisper and still absolutely love it, I tried riding my normal mountain bike the other day and it felt like a piece of junk metal. So lets raise a glass to the guys a wisper (mines a Pinotage), we've all had a few teething problems but have come...

Punctures on the inside of the wheel?!?

I've just had my first 2 punctures on the wisper too, fixed the tube yesterday, went out today and got another puncture. It was in the same position as the other one, just a bit further along the rim. I've checked the tyre and found nothing, also the punctures appeared just before there is a...

    Electric Biking over winter

Hi, I intend to continue commuting on my wisper right through the winter but am a bit worried about problems arising from salt/grit on the roads. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Motor Cut-Off Not Working on Rear Brake Lever

This happened to my Wisper 905se too, took it back to the shop and they said there wasn't a problem with the wiring, but there seemed to be a fault in the controller (??) they then replaced the whole lever.

Wisper battery charging socket has come out

Hi all, when removing my charger from the battery this morning the whole of the charge socket came out with the wires attached and dangling. I have pushed the socket back in and the bike seems to work ok but I was wondering how I can re-secure it, it seems to be in some sort of screw...do i...

    Road Safety...arrghhh

I've just been out on my bike for the first time in a week as i've been too scared to ride (BTW yesterday a male cyclist was killed by a lorry near the scene of the other accident, apparently he swerved to avoid a nasty bit of road surface and was sucked under a passing lorry) I tried to...

    Road Safety...arrghhh

Thanks for that Danny K :) edited to add that, I think that cyclists need their own light signal in order to give them some some distance from other road users. seeing the cyclist under the van today is still upsetting me.. cycling really shouldn't be this dangerous...

    Road Safety...arrghhh

What is best? To jump red lights and stay out of traffics way plus **** off car drivers? or Wait for the green light and get cut up by car drivers as well as being forced off your bike at times. This morning I decided on the later and was nearly killed when a car nearly drove into me. I...
