Switching the 350w BPM motor on my Big Bear for a 500w one

Its not a switch...by default the bike has 250 watts...only by making changes in the control panel can it be derestricted

Switching the 350w BPM motor on my Big Bear for a 500w one

It is illegal to use it in 1000 watt mode in public areas, but not in 250 watt mode I believe.

    Greenedge CS2 problems

Well, things are turning from good to bad. The shop in question is not responding to my emails, despite previously good communications. The replacement battery was early this morning missing in action, and the shop said that they were investigating and to leave it with them and they would get...

Yes, jsut looking at the different options....the 15ah should be more than enough for my trip...does the throttle cut out at 6kph or does it keep on going?

Thats useful to know, many thanks. I might go for the lower 500watt I think as it is unlikely I would need that extra speed...unless I fancy a swim in the canal!

Are these bikes up to the job of handling a quite often very muddy towpath as part of a daily commute? My daily ride is 15 miles and the one I have now isnt ideal. The rest of the ride is a mixture of dry gravel towpaths and a bit of tarmac road. Many thanks

Gone reasonably smooth so far, although I was expecting a tracking number on Friday for the replacement.....I'm sat at home waiting for a delivery that may or may not be coming....

    Greenedge CS2 problems

Well, an update on my story is very similar to this one... Not overheating, but losing connection to the battery. Narrowed it down over the last couple of days. The battery pack rattles like hell now in the cradle, with the battery losing contact with the terminals in the process. I found a...

That's a good idea...I'll hunt down some Velcro from eBay. I was more worried if something else was missing from the disc as I'm just surprised it's not supposed to be locked in place. I'll do the washer trick I think. Main thing is I know what I'm looking at if it happens again. Thanks for...

    Greenedge CS2 problems

Well, I had a look at the sensor and ring before i rode home from work... The sensor ring was not running true against the sensor, at one point it was 1mm away, the other side about 7mm. A couple of days ago, my chain came off at the crank, I never noticed at the time, it was dark, but i am...

    Greenedge CS2 problems

Will do...Ive been watching some youtube vids this morning and that came up as a possibility.... Out of interest, the bike is quite dirty this morning due to the state of the canal path/trail i use...can mud interfere with that sensor as I know it builds up around that crank area....

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the battery holder seems fine, I checked that first when the knocking noise started as I thought the battery was loose. The power thing happens at any time really. I was going up a fairly gentle gradient this morning at a steady speed, and i felt the dragging when the...

    Greenedge CS2 problems

I bought a CS2/16 in early September, and so far it has been brilliant... I have done around 450 miles on the bike up until now, usually around 30 miles a day. My journey is mostly along a gravel canal towpath. I think there may be a couple of faults developing on the bike over the last few...
