Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

All sounds very complicated,,,I think for me it would be easier to put the spare battery in my backpack and swap them over if needed, although its not the lightest battery in the world !

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

I was hoping if someone could advise on this as a possible upgrade for the current 48v 12ah battery on my stealth? http://www.eclipsebikes.com/whale-175ah-lithium-frame-battery-sanyo-cells-p-1129.html I can just about get to work which is around 15 miles on the current battery using my...

Only thing I would like on my stealth is a battery that would give me a bit more range. Cyclotricity dont sell any different ones to the standard though. I can just about get 15 miles to work on mine, using a mix of asssitance levels, but knowing the battery range will decrease over time may...

Ah ok, thanks Rob. Just sounds a bit scary when you are used to it cutting out at the slightest touch of the brakes

Excuse my ignorance on the subject, it does look like a great upograde, but how do the brake cutout sensors work when you replace the brakes for hydraulics? The ones I have looked at on ebay all have new levers

    Cycle Commute below zero?

Ive had the ice spikers on for a few weeks now, probably have done a couple of hundred miles now. The weather has varied a great deal, some days its just sub zero, living out in the sticks, then for a few days its in double figures...British weather i guess. The positive side is I do feel safer...

Turns out the wheel itself was faulty (so I assume the motor), so Cyclotricity are sending out a new one tonight. Despite my moans, I cant fault the team at Cyclotricity for the work they have done, I guess I just got an unlucky bike...its slowly being rebuilt so hopefully luck will change....

    Increased range

    Increased range

Just wondering if it is a simple case of getting hold of a larger AH battery to increase overall range potential? Mine has a 48v 12ah battery, so was thinking if i could source a suitable 15ah battery, range would increase?

Thanks for the tips. The wheel is boxed up now and being collected tomorrow. I had already taken it off before I saw your message so wasnt able to test that. The freewheel/cogs have a small amount of lateral movement in them...dont know if that is a problem, and when turning the spindle by hand...

I have sent Cyclotricity a link to a video and they have come back to me. They believe it may be the freewheel? (Which after some discussion is the rear gears?) So I have to return the rear wheel, at my expense for them to inspect and repair or replace... I must admit i am slowly losing...

    Look what the postman brought..

Okay, I might get that then based on reviews....I know some say the 1500xl is bright enough, maybe cos im getting old, I want brighter....riding next to the canal in the pitch dark I want to see as much as I can ;) This one looks the same as the recommended one but a couple of quid more but...

How would the brightness of this compare with a Lezyne 1500XL?

Ah great :( Thanks for the info. Is there anything I can do if any of those are fixable, or is it a warranty job?
