    Finally, Finally Committing :)

Strap on mirrors are a bit poor. They wobble more than a regular one and so you get a poor image. The best mirror by far is the cateye BM500G. Big mirror, very steady, excellent visibility.

How you is too young to carry on a bike?

Hi Tim! You've got some fun ahead! The 'rules' on child seats: -Can they hold their head up -Will they be able to cope with the vibration and bumps -Do you think they are ready? 8 or 9 months sounds fine for gentle rides round the park. I think Mike was 10-11 months when i finally...

    Finally, Finally Committing :)

A lot of people have found them undergeared and have changed the back cog accordingly. I haul a lot weight on mine and do use the lower gears sometimes. I still think i'll add a tooth or 2 to the back cog though. Cheers

    E-bike Of The Year

I'll vote for the agattu over the cytronex. Primarly because its great all rounder ready to ride bike. A very rare thing in the UK. The cytronex is a well executed design thats been well marketed, but i think its use is narrower than the Agattu and it has competition from the well executed...

    GoCycle

Interesting little machine though isnt it? Some nice ideas packed into a single machine. I particularly like the attention to detail in the execution of the 'clean ride' design concept. I did :) on reading that once he was heckled for riding a small wheeled folder and so he built this...

mods (e.g. drop bars) for more aero ride position?

I love my comfort bars most of the time. :D I miss drops a little when descending I miss them lots and lots when i'm cycling in wind and rain.:( I just want to hunch down on my drops and let it all blow over me.

    Advice please...

Joanne, Just a thought. I travel on hilly unlit roads a lot and i know the chilterns very well. If you get the bike in Feb, you'll be thrown straight into winter commuting in some challenging terrain. For an area like the chilterns, you'll need a very powerful front light that throws a beam...

    Advice please...

New thread! New thread! Do keep us informed! Cant wait to see what this does to the system. I can already think of so many applications. I love the pedelec system, but there are times when a throttle would just help out as an alternative.

    Which Bike Advice Please

Hi, I'm a very pleased Kalkhoff owner and i think you will find it the most comfortable ride you will find in an electric bike. It has the magic combination of Dutch style upright riding position, with a pair of really good forks on a mtb-esque frame. For rougher terrain you could adjust the...

    Cold

Are you going out hot? If you go out with cold hands, they wont warm up on an ebike very easily. I use hot toast and coffee, followed by good warm clothing (i use ski\mountaineering gloves for temperatures about zero). For long rides porridge is good :-) Its different on a normal bike as you...

    New High End Electric Bike

Well its a brave design.:) I too think its ugly, well strikingly ugly but i have some sympathies with what the designer was trying to do.

    Mirror to fit my x-bike

Cateye 500 is the best mirror by far. I've tried others and they are too small or wobbly.

Do you fancy working for Wisper?

Makes a lot of sense for a product like ebikes from small manufacturers eg 50cyles should do this.

    Cold

Oh my GOD! How hard are you! I'm the opposite a wee nip in the air and out comes the hat. I have hats for rain, hats for cold, hats for rain and cold, hats for cycling in mild cold and high cold, hats for sun etc My son is 20months old and he has half a dozen hats already. The best thing i...
