Could an electric bike pay for itself?

Theres a similar costing thread running on the CTC forum somewhere. The running costs of ebikes are very high compared to normal bikes, because of those darned batteries battery replacements. Still a lot cheaper than a car tho.

    Bicycle Suspension

Great article Flecc. I'm fairly anti suspension, but ive wondered about whether its more necessary on an e bike. Your review of the Agattu was very favourable, and you didnt actually criticise the suspension. You said you expected to, but that you were pleasantly suprised by it. Any comment...

    Agattu Agattu.. wherefore art thou?

I remember seeing an A2B letter with someone who had the two arm pletscher stand fitted to a lafree with child seat and pram carrier. He swore by it and said it made a huge difference as he could reliably get off the bike and leave his baby in it. These two pronged stands are way more stable...

    Agattu frame size

mmm that makes sense, i've ordered one. I'm 6'' (really 5'11 but i round up) and the chap at 50 cycles said get the small. 49cm would make it the smallest bike i'd ever owned and that seemed a bit suspect, but he assured me its a 'big bike'. I know other city bikes i've been on have seemed...

    Pro-Connect or Agattu

Agree with Harry B Agree with Harry B. ive plumped for the diamond frame agattu as i'm a commuter\shopper. The weight difference is not massive (considering how heavy these bikes are) and aside from the suspension i'd just end up adding stuff to it anyway.

Hi All, I'm about to buy a new electric bike, i've been waiting a while and the arrival of the Agattu has finally delivered what i want. Plus the two very positive reviews (cheers Flecc and A2B). I've got 5 questions: -I need a mirror for the sit up and beg style handlebars, I've used bar...
