    Looking to convert

I'd say go for it,I fitted one of these lits (rear wheel version) and am very happy with it and am 6ft 1in and 20+ stone,on a good day I could probably get about 40 miles from a full charge,a good day being no wind and flat canal path and using the lowest setting.

    Kit recommendation

Easily removable for normal cycling? The only thing you can remove easily is the battery although swapping a wheel back over to the original one isn't much hassle I'm pretty sure you'd only do it once or twice before you got fed up with it.The extra weight of the kit does make a big difference...

    B'TWIN ORIGINAL 700 36V ELECTRIC BIKE

Wouldn't think that would matter, surely a LBS wouldn't have a problem doing basic maintenance on it,I could understand if they didn't want to get involved with the electric side of it .

Grind crank arm or new BB

I fitted the throttle on the left-hand side beside the front shifter, the throttle is upside down and the shifter is in a strange position but since I only use it now and again it's not a problem,I think having the throttle on the left makes more sense cause it allows you to signal and use the...

500w BPM kit from BMS Battery

The general opinion on here is that the geared motors are best for all-around everyday use,if the 500w bpm is geared id just go for it but if its not id go for 250/350w geared motor, nothing to stop you putting your own sticker on the 500w motor

Transporting ebikes when towing a caravan

Can't see a problem with putting them in the van, might need a wee bit of thought and maybe have to remove a wheel or turn the handle bars to fit them in but it would be my first choice.

    Cycle or die?

It's in the pipeline apparently, they had a model of it at the canal festival a few years ago(it's called the big man) but I heard the original design wouldn't work so it's been redesigned and is still on going,it's being designed by the same guy that done the kelpies.
