    For me, this issue is all about the compromise of either a crank motor (as yet in its early development and still expensive) or a front drive, both of which systems are required for hub gears, or the use of a rear wheel hub motor. The benefit of the hub motor lays with the fundamental design...

    A trip to E-Motion in Swindon may be a more valuable experience for the extra 30mins journey. They have a wider range than the Bristol shop with more bikes to try, including our own range available to demo.

If you can say where you are then I'm sure you'll be given pointers to good dealers with wide ranges in stock near you. Of course you'd be most welcome to come and try our range at our shops...

    Hi Sootycat. Where are you and can you describe your hills? Do try to find a range of bikes to try, and then you might spot why another £80 or so can make a lot of difference.
