    Guinea Pig Needed

If you look closely at that yellow traction rubber/plastic you can see right through it to the metal it's attached to, can't see it wearing all that well. Another thing is what's happens when the tyre gets wet or wears thin ?

    Guinea Pig Needed

I translated one feedback that came out as " Stick it in your smoke and pipe it " should sell well in Syria.

    Sore wrist help.

It's when you quickly tap yourself on the forehead with the palm of your hand and say "god, did I just say that !" or "did they just say that" ... you never really know who's kidding who, I tend not to do it.

Woosh Lost keys - what can be done?

A chap I used to know got hold of some of those infamous " Council Keys " at one time. He let himself into a multi-story tower block, went right up to the roof and started messing around with the communications equipment installed up there. He had some sort of grievance with the law so he...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

My mum used to boil up knuckles, I can remember her skimming the fat off. Not sure what she did with it probably put it on my hair, my sister always said I had a hairstyle like Adolf Hitler I must have looked like Barry's avatar :(

    House insurance and ebikes

That's a good point about ebike coverage as against normal bike. You have to be sure you tell the insurance company it's an ebike you want to cover or they may withhold any pay outs if that's not made clear from the get go. I think the best approach when deciding who to insure with is to work...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's like 1 in 50 of the population of Cleethorpes being knocked over by the same No. 14 bus driven by the same driver, you have to question if a figure that high is not somehow avoidable. Now let's see, who's driving the bus in the US, ah yes ......

    House insurance and ebikes

Didn't some cyclist who knocked a pedestrian over a while back have to sell their house to cover the award pay out ? That's what insurance is for, let them have the pleasure of paying it and I'll keep my home. It's true though most people are only concerned with having their bike nicked so are...

Help! Error 07 On DCP18 Bafang Rear hub motor

It's quite harmless shorting a big fat Electrolytic, you just wet yourself and forget who you are for three days.

    House insurance and ebikes

Unless you happen to knock over a stranger whilst riding your bike around indoors as sjpt rightly says, no you wont be covered. There's other things to consider though, these days you only have to tap someone on the knee and they'll drag you to court after their pound of flesh ... or more likely...

    House insurance and ebikes

Bike insurance often gets mentioned here on the forum and usually it relates to theft of your machine, public liability & personal injury rarely seems to figure in the equation. The way I see it I can replace my bike albeit at cost, but if I hit someone as we've seen in the recent past it could...

Although nobody ever seems to like it but I have cruise set on my e-bike display. I find a nice straight bike lane, set my speed to around 10mph then when it locks I can take my hands off the bars and read a book or grab forty winks, works great ;)

    Brexit, for once some facts.

My car will brake if I drive too close to another car but if the other vehicle then speeds up mine with accelerate again, needless to say I keep that option off. It's also got lane guidance and self parking, all good fun but I can do that already so it's just a novelty. The only way driverless...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When I want to cross a busy road I stand by the curb and wait until someone feels sorry for me and slows down waving a hand for me to get a move on, driverless cars ? well let's see what would happen. The machine wouldn't know me from a lamppost, in fact I do look a bit like a lamppost as I'm...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I agree with flecc on this one, if it's taken 40 years to get to SSD's that's actually a very long time in the world of technology. We'll have a few running around of course, then one will plough into a bus shelter full of disabled children and they'll all be off the road for another 5 years and...
