Guy on Facebook said Police took a ride on his bike ?

I'm saying that we're not obliged to give a sample of neither breath nor bike. :)

Guy on Facebook said Police took a ride on his bike ?

A Police Officer test riding someone's bike down the road isn't an expert testing method. Not unless it was a vehicle testing checkpoint that provides expert opinions and testing methods anyhow. Procedures need to be observed. Otherwise there's nothing stopping them from pulling anyone over and...

Guy on Facebook said Police took a ride on his bike ?

Probably. Nevertheless, the authorities aren't authorised to test criminality, by suspicion alone, in a bid to find evidence.

25 mile round trip commute advice please?

And a loose screw or two. o_O With all that gravity and inertial mass you could do that run in a shopping trolley. Or, indeed, any type of wheeled mount. Even a skateboard. A heavy ebike is obviously going to fly down there. This is not mountain biking as most people know it. Nor...

    1st time e biker

I like that bike. It has loads of great features such as 2 battery capacity and room for 2 people on it. Fair play to you, as a bus driver, doing all that daily exercise. :) My Granddad was a bus driver. He was quite fit and died in his sleep. Not screaming and shouting like his passengers. :D...

SOMEONE CALLED THE POLICE ABOUT MY EBIKE VIDEO!!!

I think his point was that, armed with a little bit of incorrect ebike information, someone felt educated enough to report him for speeding to the police. The police then quoted that incorrect info to him when questioning him about alleged speeding on a youtube video. They were probably better...

    Northern Ireland EAPC status.

Yes, but if the uptake had been good as a test case. What then for the rest of the UK?

    Northern Ireland EAPC status.

The cynic in me tells me that they're looking at NI as a test case, to see how much income they can generate from fools that upgrade to speed pedelec criteria. Hopefully, they'll realise that they're just losing money from regular folks that want a bit of physical help from a regular ebike.

I'm beginning to hate (some) cyclists

I only ebike around my local woods and country park, with my dog. There's a single shared path running through it. Shared by cyclists, horse riders, dogs and their walkers. Having an ebike allows me to cheat the beaten track, go off piste, up grassy hills, across fields and o'er dales. I get...

These are my two suspension seatposts. Watch how they work when going cross country, over the rough. :)

    Halfords electric scooters.

There's quite a variety and these could be fun. What are your thoughts on them? :)
