    Birmingham Bike Show

Absolutely agree Ian, a very pleasant and useful event for us too. Met many kind and helpful cyclists and once again reassured that the vast majority of those within the bike industry, particularly amongst the many small, independent and often family-run businesses, are indeed the best of folk...

    ebike needed for work comute

Agree with you Tony. Kendas are good tyres. Best way to avoid punctures with any tyre is to keep it fully hard. Tyres are much easier to pump-up than repair!

    Powacycle Charger Problem

Del, give our workshop a ring. I'm certain we have a 24V 3 pin charger kicking around from the days when we sold 24V bikes. If we can dig it out you're welcome to it for a small sum to cover postage and packing. Workshop: 01663 308 409

    Giant Suede for sale

We have taken this bike in part exchange for a new Juicy Bike, not something we would normally do but the gentleman has clearly looked after the bike, and we hate waste. Its battery needs replacing, so any offers as spares or repairs gladly welcomed. The motor, frame, complicated torque sensor...

Elifebike Q100 kit fault. Motor, controller or throttle? Video diagnostic?

Or it could be a single hall sensor problem, either a faulty sensor within the motor, or a poor connection, or a poor cable (or even poor insulation between wet cables). You could most easily find and repair the cable issues (if it is that), but if it is the sensor itself within the motor...

FM, the frame is 17.5", so should suit, unless you are particularly long in the body.

Claud Butler Glide 2 v Freego Hawk v Juicy Classic??

Dave, the latest Classics now have variable assist levels, unlike early models which just had one power setting. So, shouldn't need to get the soldering iron out to get 75% assist (or 25, 50%), (or low - medium - high, eco - standard - sport mode, etc).

Is this the bike for you?

Dave, what I do know is that a legal motorbike has to prove it is safe. I don't doubt that some illegal bikes are built properly. But how does Joe Public tell which are safe and which are not?

I need some help and advice please, cant find any bikes to try.

Janice I would be much happier if you got to try a bike before you bought it. We offer a return to us refund if you decide you don't want the bike when you receive it. However in the case of the Cycle To Work scheme it is much much harder to refund in that situation. I'm not going to browbeat...

The RST Gila forks on that bike are not designed to go at that speed with that weight of bike. Imagine the outcome of the forks snapping in a pothole at 40mph. Different to the outcome of the same forks surviving the same pothole at 20mph at which speed death is much less likely. We make road...

I need some help and advice please, cant find any bikes to try.

We often send our bikes to a customer's nearest local, traditional bike shop for assembly and then a long term relationship develops between our customer and their local shop. Most maintenance is simply normal bike adjustment. When specialist "E-Bike" maintenance is required we support the...

I need some help and advice please, cant find any bikes to try.

Your nearest stockist may well be "All About The Bike" in Chester Janice. The good thing about those long term reviews is that they tell us how to make the bikes better. Which we do :)

Is this the bike for you?

It's frustrating these machines are so easily available. They risk undoing all the good work and campaigning that takes place by and on behalf of cyclists, to make roads safer. Speed kills. That's the long and the short of it. These things stick out like sore thumbs and tar all e-bikers with...
