Halfords Carrera crossfire e bike sale today

Nice one oggie, hope you enjoy the bike. Good choice on the tyres. My crossfire-e is stock, apart from me changing the tyres (Schwalbe Energisers) adding a mirror and pannier rack. I also run one of these, which ensures I can leave it charging in the garage, for the right time and knowing it...

    Crossfire Or Kudos Tourer D9

and if you can get that on the cycle2work scheme even better. Despite it's niggles, I still think it's a cracking bike. Yes I've had the cutouts, and lost a few spokes, no biggy, still a great ride for not much cash. Mines just clocked over 3K km since Aug last year

Carrera Croosfire, Cyclotricity Stealth or Woosh Karoo?

You won't regret it, £ for £ it's a great bike. Use mine daily to commute, all throughout the winter, rain, ice, gales, it's been great. Do 50 mile touring rides at the weekend too, can't keep off it !

    Carrera

Hope they keep the crossfire-e bike, it's quite different, more hybrid than this one, plus there's no step through frame style (ladies) in this new bike. However, this is a great looking bike, and if Halfords do the 20% off all bike promo they did last summer, plus the BC discount, it's a lotta...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

6km, hence the '6'..have tried it, and it is about that...good luck with the mod attempt, but I would love to find a way to increase the cut out speed to about 20mph

It would appear some crossfire-e users get occasional cut-out of the power, normally resolved by removing the battery for a few seconds, I've had it about a dozen times in 1600 miles, hasn't put me off the bike one bit, great bit of kit for the money

Reckon it'll sell, especially when they do their 10% off everything flash sales, add british cycling membership discount on top, so looking at £800 ish. I have the crossfire-e and would happily buy a MTB version. Can put up with the odd cut-out issue, no biggy

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Cheers for that. Good tip on page 9 to test the health of the battery by holding down the power button on the battery for 10 sec (I have the previous version of the bike, looks like the same battery). Happy to say that my 7 month old is showing the full 5 bars (>90%)

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

I get the same on my Crossfire-e, just in 8th gear. I need to look closely at the derailleur to check alignment. On a different note, I've been trouble free since getting the bike last August until 2 weeks ago, snapped a spoke on the rear wheel just inside the spoke nipple. Replaced it, and...

    Carrera Crossfire E v Oxygen S-Cross MTB.

Love my Crossfire-e. Aproaching 1000 miles since August, my daily commuter. Get the odd cutout (havent had one for a while though), just press the battery button and continue. The bike is well specced, solid build, and handles nicely. Brakes are great, smooth gear change, single chainring on...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

I still think the crossfire is hell of a lot of bike for the money (£1100) compared to the competition. I managed the nabb it for about £640 after discounts and vouchers etc back in August, so a no-brainer at that price. 50 mile run at the weekend, on 25% assist with 15% battery remaining (that...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Interesting...was it just the battery that was sent off or the whole bike ? I've had the problem about 6-7 times in 1000km only twice where it needed the key and a complete battery removal (other times just press the battery button) How long has it taken to turn around the fix ? Use mine daily...

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

Looks good, yep I reckon that's the new type of display. The stock of crossfire-e's was very low a month or 2 ago, reckon this new stock has got the new display coming through. I like that the goat (100% assitance) has been replaced with the word Sport. Guess I'm sporty then on my commute up...
