    What climbs steep hills slowly?

All our bikes have controllers separate from batteries, so battery upgrades are easy. The red button simply isolates the throttle for those who don't want to use it. You really should take a test ride! And you need to know we now only have the Bafung powered Compact and Compact Plus in stock...

    What climbs steep hills slowly?

Yes, the same as Roller and 18ah controller.

    What climbs steep hills slowly?

To special order, yes - our standard half grip throttle. It's impossible to say how steep, especially since a full speed throttle isn't legal in the UK. You'd have to try it!

    What climbs steep hills slowly?

You should take a look at our Compacts - in particular the Compact Plus, which is better suited to your height. You should of course take a test ride to confirm best fit for you. We have some without the Aikema motor (prototypes) that are available off-line (phone us), nearer to your price...

    help me choose bike please

Go to a good stockist and try some - that's a must! It's impossible for someone to find a perfect bike without riding it first. Every combination of rider and bike is unique. Oxygen, Wisper and Raleigh are all good makes. So find a store that stocks all three and go try. Many choose to...

    New Purchase

I'd recommend a tow bar carrier if you can afford one. They are nice and low meaning lifting bikes is minimised and will carry a greater weight. Wind resistance whilst driving is also reduced. However we've seen many couples taking two bikes away from our shops with two bikes on board standard...

Considering an E-bike - Overloaded with Infomation!

Cyclescheme are really slick, the best that we have worked with, from many over several years. They charge retailers 10% which is just about acceptable for us. Other schemes charge up to 15%, which is when we have to ask for a 5% contribution from the rider as as top up.

How do people get such long range?

Then Dave has about nailed it in his response above. Everybody both rides differently and with different intent.

Considering an E-bike - Overloaded with Infomation!

You're surrounded by specialist shops for electric bikes. Here are our own stockists, but there are many more near you too. A test ride will answer questions you never knew you had :-)

How do people get such long range?

Are you talking about manufacturer claims? Or their riders' claims?

Considering an E-bike - Overloaded with Infomation!

You need a test ride next. No-one can recommend an exact bike without even knowing your height! Where do you live UTNG?

    Country lane commute options

You must feel very happy to have left that behind! 6 miles each way means your choice is wide open. Even the gtech will do that, if it's fairly flat. If you've taken a test ride, the bike feels comfortable and is in budget then go for it. Summer's nearly here - the perfect opportunity to form...

Hello im a very newbie :-)

You're surrounded by stockists, but it might be worth travelling to a good one, to try a range of bikes. I'd suggest a trip to E-Motion in Swindon (where you could try our bikes :) ) or if that's too far there is an excellent shop in Coulsdon near Guildford (Cycling Made Easy) where you...

    new bikes

You can widen your choice massively if you can adopt derailleur gears. No need for complex centre drive or (arguably) less stable front wheel drive. Rear hub drives can be lighter, quieter and cost much less.

Help! Please help me buy a commuter bike :)

Hi Nelly Great to see our Roller on your shortlist. The other two bikes are (almost) as lovely too :) But before anyone can sensibly recommend a bike to you it would be wise to ask about your size and fitness level. Your local terrain is easy for almost all regular electric bikes so you are...

Looking for affordable step-through to commute up-hill

Linni, at 5' 10" you'd find our 19" Classic Frame size a perfect fit, probably - though a test ride is what would truly confirm. You could visit our stockist in Edinburgh, if that's not too far. They also have many other bikes too. You should ignore what manufacturers claim for range - all have...

    Cyclists block...new bike jitters

Carla Anything substantial that you buy via a UK website is returnable within 14 days, for any reason. All distance sellers must abide by this. So don't feel constrained to only those websites that cite this right as an offer - they would be breaking the law if they didn't offer a refund...

seem to have lost 10 miles in range?

You should find that temperature affects range. The colder the shorter, to the tune of 20 to 30 % difference between winter and summer.
