Broke connector between handlebar display to controller (Pinacle Mercury)

Taking @Nealh 's comments above into account and since i am not familiar with your bike specifically I would change my suggestion to attempt to rejoin the cable connection by connection as suggested by the others above battery out first.. but??

Broke connector between handlebar display to controller (Pinacle Mercury)

can you post pics of both plug and socket and the headset with any id numbers visible. If the damage is limited to the headset and its plug AND 'we'can identify the lcd headset used a replacement should sort you out. if the other cable end is damaged you may also need to replace that too ? and...

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

If your focus is getting the best performance from your battery perhaps keeping the battery in warmer temps for overnights and charging has appeal. providing the ability to eek out a few more amps and miles. If however your battery has ample capacity for your regular needs there is no need to...

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

ER yes ? pm sent.. if i understand correctly even the sonoffbasic has a spare gpio exposed so adding a led/rgb for a visual indicator is doable with basic soldering skils (use pcb solderpads)

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

Reflash the sonoff with tasmota, dont rely on remote servers to control your local gear. would be a pita if your internet went down and you lost control of the off switch.. Theo's project has All the bases covered, With Zero reliance on any external servers. If a newbie to programming etc dont...

    Which ebike to choose?!

me leave? nah,, Is that a better gauge than using the battery% and battery size to determine the charge required, ie 50% 11ah battery would require circa 5.5ah to charge up from a 2a charger, should take about 2 and 3/4 hrs to charge fully. I ask because i am using battery% as reported by my...

    Which ebike to choose?!

I am no expert i rely on my ability to cut and paste into a search engine, so not doubting the correction. However what if your jumping on the bike early morning for a ride into work after a sub zero night? Wouldn't it be better to keep the battery within operating temps?

    Which ebike to choose?!

cheers google.. Keep the battery in the house when temps start to fall below 5c at night to be on the safe side. if ridding in the colder weather a 'cozy' might be an idea worth looking into

Do police even bother to check if an e-bike is legal?

(When off road) is the simple addition to your statement required as lip service to keep all quiet wink wink ;) since the evil inception of WWW2 moderators etc of forums and boards can be held liable for the idle gossip members can engage in so lets play the game and not put folk doing us a...

    Santroll control box

Your very welcome.. Double check the gender/ pin orientation (innies or outies) of the plugs/sockets on things you buy, I almost ordered and waited 3 weeks for sensors with the right plug fitted just the wrong gender so would have been trying to plug male into male plugs!!

    Santroll control box

based on the pics something like ebay example But it looks like your headset/display uses a julet plug/socket if so you will need something like another example In addition a headset that can talk to the controller (you may still need an extension lead between headset and contrller) some...

Safe cycle routes. Are there any really?

cycle insurance for theft/loss and 3rd party liability primarily, an ebike as long as rd legal may carry a premium, but since many cycles cost 1000's anyway,, my circa £800 valued ebike (new bike + kit costs) costs £80 p.a You may get a better deal from you home insurer, iirc co-op offered...

According to youtube etc waxing is the way to go with chains, check it out but basic paraffin/candle wax with some additions melted and used to soak your chain is apparently better than any lube option?? iirc the additives teflon and titanium oxide? can be found in bundles with wax on ebay for...
