    Well today I went for a short ride. Put battery on charge again. Never touched any leads on charger. And put on a multimeter when it was at 42.4v. The charger light went green automatically. So like you said saneagle my meter is reading a bit high. So now hopefully when meter says 42.4 volts...

    Ok as I don’t think the charger is at fault. Probably a cheap multimeter. I won’t bother getting a new multimeter as will just leave it charging next time even if meter says 42.3v then see if charger go green

    sorry I got a bit confused Yes I tried that and my meter is inaccuarate, so will check around for a better meter

    there is no link in saneagles post above regarding a link to a multi meter thats a link to a reference board thing I wont know how to use that or what it does

    I think i will get a better mult meter, as the one i have now is only a cheapo thing.

    saneagle said Its just that what guerney said about not a fused plug. also why dont green light comes on auto when fully charged as like i said I have to wriggle a wire then it comes on

    HI all Can anyone suggest a good battery charger, for my bike, its a 36v2a charger I need with a fused plug, and a jack plug (yellow) on charging end. the battery is 36v on bike. I have a charger atm but the plug isnt fused, plus charger seems faulty as green light dont always come on at 42V it...

    I have checked the charger when unplugged from battery, and green light does come on. but like you said the plug isnt fused

    So do you suggest I get a better charger, with a fused plug. which you can change the fuse if need to. can you suggest a good charger, as it has to be as in image below
