Good to hear it rides well. I might proceed with my plans, easy to revert if it doesn't work out.
Your bike looks trick, I like it. The Curio tyres suit the bike
I have a 29er frame considering running it with 26" as cannot fit wider tyres as too close to chainstays etc... How's the handling of yours, and how do you find the bottom bracket now lower as a result of running smaller wheels? do the pedals clip the road easily?
All of that costs money, which would be added to the cost of the kit, I'd rather have the choice and pay less for the kit (I bought the gear sensor separately and took it off as I didn't like how it affected the power delivery)
I run a 10 speed 11-36 x 46t chainwheel on my 700c wheeled hybrid with a bbs01
Just about to build another bbs01 conversion with my 26" wheeled MTB , so will be using the supplied 44t chainwheel with a sunrace 9 speed 11-40, hopefully give me enough low down gearing for off road riding
I bought both the brake cutoffs and the gear sensor, ending up not using either. The gear sensor killed the power for too long resulting in stop start motion, and the brake sensors seemed too much faffing about for a problem that I found didn't exist
The 44t chainwheel will result in lower gearing, easier to pedal, higher motor cadence, less strain on the motor and you.. you've done the opposite by switching to the 52t chainwheel
Clearly the thread is turning into another Brexshit discussion, the same we've all been having for the last 3 years.
What I'm seeing now as a fact is I can't get the bike bits I want from the EU, so will have to pay much more £££ from UK sellers (if even available)
When I start seeing new...
All my usual euro suppliers now not offering shipping to the UK... Mantel.com, bike24.net, bike-discount.de, rosebikes etc
Wiggle, CRC, Tredz etc must be loving it...
Taking back control, but losing the choice, that's Brexshit for you
Welcome and good luck with the build. Plenty of really useful info on the board and just ask if any help or advice required. Once you are up and running, you'll be wanting to tweak and improve what you have...here's a useful thread for this...
I'll soon be moving my BBS01 350w to my 26" wheeled MTB. Just ordered a 11-40t rear cassette.
Do you think using the stock Bafang 44T front chainwheel and this new 11-40T on a 26" wheel will get me up hilly off road tracks with a bit of my own effort ?

Kepler's settings (purple) works great for me on my BBS01, get good range, and assistance is natural and smooth, without dropping up and down, with the exception is that I set the 'keep current' to 100% (on the...
Just fit some Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus as wide as your chainstay will allow, I went with 1.75 inch wide on my Boardman Hybrid for the summer for a bit off roading, now I'm back on Energisers and full mudguards for winter road use
The Smart Sam Plus offer good puncture protection and roll well on...
forgot to add mine is a hybrid bike, and the cassette is 11-36 and the chainline is good just might have to adjust the derailleur for smooth shifting... offers a good range, but will be switching to a stock 44t bafang soon to give a little better climbing cadence
I run a 10 speed sram setup on my BBS01, no gear sensor, 2700 miles on the cassette and chain so far in the last year or so, using the stock bafang 46t chainwheel. It clunks a bit when shifting when on full power, but drop the assist level down and its fine. I get the 10spd sram cassette from...
I did this in the last couple of months as was expecting tax and duty hits post 1st Jan.
Got myself a couple of Hailong 36v 17.5ah Samsung celled batteries with chargers that exactly fitted my existing Hailong battery holder from a Aliexpress seller for about £180 each delivered, very pleased...
