    swytch

I know, but its poles apart from the friendly reception i received on joining up in here.. or did i put on the rose coloured specs in error again this morning? I found the manual for the swytch max and the oled display shows battery level and power output i guess? And the battery pack has a...

Hi - I have a few questions about what to choose?

Whats important is having the ability to get insurance in the first place. Once covered and in need of cover keep the digits crossed they dont pick you to be the poster child / public enemy for the test case.. Chances of loosing the house are significantly diminished by having cover in the...

Hi and welcome, Im sure someone will know... seems like there is not a lot of lurve for Swytch in here atm Someone has to pay for the successful marketing that has lodged the brand in most of our minds, and not just in hard currency, seems like your taking the brunt in here too.. where has...

    Sparta Ion DTS conversion

Hi and welcome, folk here are not so formal, so off the cuff, or from the hip questions don't offend, and no "have you read my essay on ebike repair twice before asking??" responses.. And probably quite a bit of interest on how your going to progress too. What Dark Arts did you learn from...

Confused and looking for 48v 250w rear hub since Yose won't sell me 250w 36v kit with 15ah battery

Another happy 250w yose kit conversion user here. I probably weigh in at about 100kg and i didnt convert a lightweight bike with my 36v 250w yose power kit ( 20-25kg? ) and if honest i would have to classify myself as quite lazy. not one for exercise for the sake of it. I am very happy with...

Hi - I have a few questions about what to choose?

Yeah but no, the battery and controller supply volts and current Watts is the resultant product and measure of the power as a result of Volts x amps. the regs were written by a lawyer and not an engineer so are badly written. Afaik Lots of bikes and scooters have been nabbed by plod No-one...

Hi - I have a few questions about what to choose?

imho invest in and buy the best battery that suits your needs, so if doing 10 miles daily and can recharge easily a smaller lighter battery might be best? Tho for most it will probably be a 36 or 48v hi mah job. Pair the battery with a high amp 36/48v controller, and a 250w hub motor for the...

Hi - I have a few questions about what to choose?

Too good to be true imho, considering what you would expect to spend on a quality battery that size and how much that leaves remaining for the whole kit???

    Rack-mount battery standards

Kind of yes, but not really, that is there are a couple of systems used by generic suppliers, but also a number of proprietary systems too.. If you could take photos of the battery and its rack connection and give the make/model of your bike, im sure you can get steered in the right direction.

Hello, looking for a commuter bike

Ive had some time consuming clobber over the years Over trousers and boots were indeed some of the worst offenders. reaching laces when clobbered up with quilted layers and stiff waxed outer layers let alone tying them securely is a challenge..

Hello, looking for a commuter bike

Most ebikes will sail through 15 miles with nominal input from the rider beyond keeping the pedals moving and balancing so fitness wise you can decide how much effort if any you want to contribute, so if you can walk for an hour and 15 mins you can ebike for the same duration ok imho. the faf...

    500w E Bike ins

I had to get my ebike kit and then work all this out too. The problem with using watts as the limiting metric for motors is that the watts expended is a result of work demanded and available power. For DC current the calculation for watts is simply Volts X Amps. source.. but that just reveals...
