    Cells out of balance

Which did you go for? I use the Speedict Neptune15 with 10s and it's really good. I am considering a second one for 12s but fancy finding a BMS programmable by usb to try. Anyone know of any?

    More Bafang BBSO2 problems

I was thinking that until I started using my Speedict Neptune15 BMS with my lipo's. I now use them as a normal battery with normal charger and when they eventually need renewing there is no spotwelding or anything, just unplug old blocks and plug on new ones.

    Whoosh big bear front forks

Just found this, Fenwicks generally do good stuff, I might give it a try on my sticky forks https://www.evanscycles.com/fenwicks-suspension-lube-spray-EV166637

    Overheating Controller

I've had a controller overheat in the past because my hub motor was not spinning fast enough for the relevant power level because I was trying it off-road with some slow technical rides, so all I can think of is yours on PAS-1 is not moving your bike fast enough to get rid of the heat into the...

    Carrera Subway 2 Conversion

An older 26" wheeled Subway2 with an MXUS motor similar to the XF08C Woosh sell. Works really well. Total weight with battery 20kg.

Brake Cut Off - do I need it?

I like to have at least one for the reasons already mentioned above. If you have cable brakes and don't want to change your levers you could try one or two of these inline HWBS sensors (asuming your controller will take 3wire brake cutoffs)...

Battery cell question (where to buy)

The Neptune15 from Speedict is my favorite BMS. If your going to the trouble of building a battery from scratch it's well worth it. https://www.speedict.com/

    Flummoxed by current capacity issue

I'm sure this is an internal speed sensor wire so if you already have an external speed sensor on your wheel then leave this small white wire disconnected.

    GSM Motor Gear Change Sensor

Yes, it's going to be more for off road use. I never knew there was one already available from Woosh, guess I will ask first in future.

    GSM Motor Gear Change Sensor

My first test rides with a GSM crank motor and have found it very different to my usual hub driven bikes to use. Me and the motor did not get on with changing gears with the motor under load which it generally always was, I could not get to blip the brakes and change gear in time so always ended...

    Lightest possible conversion

Xiongda do a rear freewheel version of the YTW-06 and it has good power for it's size. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/small-rear-xiongda-motor.28353/

    Lightest possible conversion

d8veh did a lightweight bike with the xiongda YTW-06 motor but the smaller the motor the less power it will probably have. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/lightweight-trekking-bike-build.28276/ Also my build with a q100h (2.2kg) ended up about 14.5kg without the battery which feels...

36V 250w 8-Fun Rear Hub - is it user servicable?

I stripped my Bafang CST to bits a few thousand miles ago and posted basic pics as I also neede some advice, unfortunately I never took photos of the very last part which solved my noise problem. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/motor-bearing-removal.26450/

has d8veh left this time for good?

It's a shame d8veh has left and do hope he returns, but if I'm ever around his neck of the woods he's still getting a bottle of his favorite tipple taken round for all the help he's given.

New wheel build - am I biting off more than I can chew ?

It's not full on gloss but got slightly more of a sheen to it than matt. Also it takes 2 or 3 coats to get a nice looking finish. You get maybe 3 or 4 wheels out of a pen.

New wheel build - am I biting off more than I can chew ?

This paint pen was recommended by @Fordulike and is really good for around the rim, with some patience it could do the spokes too but I would probably lay the wheel in a larg box mask it and and spray it all would be easier. Do degrease it all first though...

New wheel build - am I biting off more than I can chew ?

For a little bit more power (not speed) from the existing motor maybe put a bit of solder on one leg of the controllers shunt. More speed, you will need more volts so that depends on whether your controller will take more volts and whether it restricts the speed too. I generally black out...

    Lab power supply as charger

I use a Neptune15 BMS, you can set the charge and discharge limits to what you want so can set it to balance at 4.1v per cell if you wanted and has bluetooth connectivity https://www.speedict.com/

    GSM Mid Motor Controller

Motor is fitted and I definately need to change the front chainring for a smaller one. I also need to move the chainline inwards about 5mm somehow. How do I get the chainring off as I can't see how to remove the black plastic chainguard and don't want to break it.?
