eBike Rear Hub - Clicking Noise

When I spin it for second time you can quite clearly (if you turn up audio) hear the clicks at 3->6 secs and again at 20->21 secs.

eBike Rear Hub - Clicking Noise

Thanks Difficult to get decent audio on a phone, got my son to record this, a little better. If something is loose like a magnet wouldn't it make a noise all the time (as it's loose)? It also appears to be getting noisier.

eBike Rear Hub - Clicking Noise

My rear hub has stated to make a kind of random clicking noise, I've not been able to identify where it's coming from yet and am a little concerned and want to understand what it is and fix it before taking bike out again. You can hear it in first few secs of this video, anyone any ideas...

Installing a USB Socket on eBike 52V Battery

You can pack a lot in it, even with with pic below I still have maybe 1inch height of space the length of the bag at top so the USB charger socket fits in easily if you want to carry it all the time.

Installing a USB Socket on eBike 52V Battery

Thanks. I hunted high and low for a frame bag that size for months that wouldn't take the face off the bike, the one that came with kit was just too small for the 17.5/35A controller and all the spare cabling, this one is almost perfect and so far would recommend! Link...

Installing a USB Socket on eBike 52V Battery

Well I went with the less hassle second option as it's minimal work to install (soldering two wires), and no 3D printing etc. required Parts arrived from ebay (approx £15 total), wired it up today and it's working great. The big black plug socket is a little unnecessary size wise and was a...

John Goodenough: World's oldest Nobel Prize winner dies at 100

Nuts, not hears of Li-ion used to power solar panels, there was me thinking it's supposed to be the other way around through a solar charge converter? More lazy BBC journalism, the BBC Reality Check service needs to start in their own back yard...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

Yes, good point, I have the Kryponite Evolution D-lock and two of the extension Kryponite cables, from YT vids you need an angle grinder to get though the D-lock, large bolt cutters not strong enough. The bikes won't really be out of our sight on these trips, I don't go in to pub or cafe for...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

No chance of opening boot with that one on but that's not a problem for our use case...we drive to location, bike, get dinner, drive home and boot is accessible from inside car if you do need something. Number plate is easily enough fixed, unscrew rear plate and rubber band it on outside (or...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

This is looking like a candidate, the 3 bike version is rated for 100lbs = 45kg. I will try it with my ebike only and sons MTB goes in boot of car so I will only be using approx 50% of the permitted bike weight. We'll see...hopefully it can move to my next car too...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

Thanks for the responses. The Jetta's back seats folds down in to a space large enough for me to sleep and large enough for one bike. So I could buy a cheapo one bike rack from Halfords for my sons bike and mount it outside, his bike lives out the back and the drive train has rusted, needs a...

£360...that's probably not far off what the car is actually worth!

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

Thinking about it - putting a tow bar on my Jetta would be a waste of money as it's done 160k+ when I bought it, it got though MOT at start of yr but given advisories I'll probably scrap it and buy another cheap run around, odds are the tow bar won't be transferable so that's £500+ up the...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

I assumed when they say not suitable for ebikes it's because of the weight, no way you could put 3 or even 2 ebikes on that rack safely, however one ebike at 24kg and one MTB at under 15kg is well under the max rated weight of 45kg. I'm currently driving a clapped out Jetta so I will driving...

Opinion on This Halfords 3 Bike Rack?

I want to get a bike rack so we can go for a run in car on nice day at weekend then when we get there do some bike riding then find a pub for some dinner and drive home. https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-racks/rear-mounted-bike-racks/halfords-3-bike-rear-mounted-bike-rack-463046.html It...

    Throttle query

Not on my ebike, I can disconnect PAS sensor and still use throttle. As touched on having a throttle makes the bike safer as I can get a fast start from lights on busy main roads and also have power available if I need to get out of a situation.
