For what it is I quite like it and my son loves it and is now using it for school run, it's also quite light for what it is. Halfords must've punted *huge* numbers of that bike at Christmas, it was I think £320 for the 'custom' white version in their Black Friday sales that was on for...

So it can happen to anyone anytime even if you take the greatest care, would your choice of brake type have saved you...? You ride a motorbike, I don't. I passed my MC part 1 and 2 tests late 80s early 90s and bought a 125 street legal Kawasaki not having a clue (with most of my first Student...

Nice bike, suspension looks...comfy...lol...not sure about the razor seat though, I'd have a nice padded one and maybe a visor like the French used to do for these 40mph moments. ;-)

You guys..... Of course no-one has ever gone over the handle bars using disc brakes.... https://bicycles.stackexchange.com/questions/64580/front-hydraulic-disk-brake-is-too-powerful-on-mtb-solutions google it...etc. etc. etc. If you don't know how to setup any type of bike brakes then...

A lot of the issues with the faster potentially illegal ebikes could be somewhat mitigated if the anaemic 250W pedelec 'law' was raised to say 350W/400W so you could buy a street legal ebike that is capable in normal use of say 20-22mph. For me this is the sweet spot on decent main roads in good...

I'm a casual ebike user riding mainly for enjoyment and sometimes to go to the pub. I've never taken bike out in wet and only been caught once in a shower when 5mins from home, tbh didn't really notice any degradation on rim braking but then wasn't really looking for it. I agree riding at...

Good question, no idea, never measured an 'emergency stop' on my conversion with rim brakes. I drive to suit the conditions and don't take the bike out in the wet, so far I haven't ever had to do an emergency stop, long may that continue.

Before I bought kit/battery I spent a few months researching ebikes and the pros/cons of rear hubs vs mid-drives (I discounted front hubs pretty much straight away as I wanted 1500W and don't think that power would end well through a front wheel with little weight on it that's used for...

You would need for example a 1500W rear hub/controller/display kit (£300-£350) and 48/52V battery of decent capacity and quality, expect to pay £300-£500 depending on capacity. This is the kit I got (I paid £300), and the 52V 17.5Ah Hailong battery (£500), I was very pleased with my purchase...

    3-D Printer

Have you ever tried one of these or any other 3D 'pen'? The linked product above is a joke, it can print ABS at 210C....lol...that's all you need to know...it's a piece of **...complete lies... 250C is min you can get a print with ABS, 260 better. No mention that ABS fumes as well as should...

£50...?? And I think you'd get bored pretty quick with these after a short while, the results in the video are very poor (being kind). You can buy an Ender 3 v2 on ebay for under £100...and with a little effort get excellent results.

What do you think of my new bike?

I would not ride an ebike without an ebrake installed, they are trivial to install and can only really go wrong if you don't install them properly (it's simply a hall sensor and magnet). On my 1500W rear hub (30mph+), I have a PAS independent thumb throttle and the ebrake (left rear), is always...

Her kidneys failed (very common in cats) and she had Leukaemia so from her collapsing to the injection was less than 48hrs. I had her at vets around 1 yr before she passed as she was off food and they ran tests that all came back fine so no kidney issues at that point after many years on the...

Countryside riders targeted by bike thieves amid record lows in police detection rates

I wouldn't tell them if I had a tacker(s) installed as bike is then likely to end up in the canal out of spite. Let them take the bike then track the down with a cpl of the boys in tow. Lifted from another forum: It’s illegal to carry anything for the purpose of self defense. However, it’s...

The diet thing for cats is interesting, Muffin was fed mainly dry food for most of her adult life on advice from the vet, she got wet food 2/3 times a week when we cooked chicken or fish but she was a grazer and liked to have food available 24/7, she would soon let you know when it was running...
