    Wheel Building Help

Those images are almost exactly what I'm changing from/to. Measured rim and confirmed 382mm. Remeasured everything else and have no idea what numbers I came up with before. Must have been blind! PCD was bigger than ERD!! :D

NSFW / disturbing content : man dies when E-bike battery explodes in a lift

Don't think I want to watch, sounds terrifying. I use four lifts a day with my bike at the train stations :o

    Wheel Building Help

My current rear wheel doesn't appear to meet the robust or stretchy requirements. More wobbly and snappy.

    Wheel Building Help

I need some advice on getting my wheels rebuilt. I'm not rebuilding myself, I don't have the skill. The wheels on my Wisper 806 are in a shocking state. I've only had it 6 months (ok, it was an ex-demo) and they are very badly corroded and have had regular spoke failures. To the extent that on...

    The bridge of doom

I have one canal bridge I have to go over. Not huge bumps, just raised bricks, but I won't cycle over it after the first time I tried. Getting up wasn't so bad, but coming down the other side was a white-knuckle ride, trying not to go over the bars. Always walk it over now.

    Wisper Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Upgrade

Probably cut down to 1800, but the one it came with was too short.

    Wisper Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Upgrade

Yes. A lot more responsive than cable. But then I also went for sintered pads too.

    Wisper Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Upgrade

Whilst the bike was off the road, I took the opportunity to get some upgrades done. With the help of my brother, we swapped the cable brakes for some cheap hydraulics. I took the opportunity to buy some br59 barbs and olives as I expected to have to cut the kit down. But turns out the hydraulic...

    Annoying squeak

So the new torque sensor arrived and I got it fitted. After a short test run, the angry seagulls appear to have gone! Routing the cable from the sensor and into the battery/controller compartment required a fair amount of effort. It's all surrounded by the rear pannier carrier, and I found the...

    Annoying squeak

Turns out this isn't the rubber seals squeaking. Very perplexed. Trying a new torque sensor tomorrow :(

    Eleglide experiences

What's the experience like with hydraulics on a folding bike? I have to route through the frame a through the hinge and slinky. The slinky should prevent kinking, but are the hoses going to be happy folding like that?

    Annoying squeak

For the past few weeks, I've had a really annoying squeak. It's so loud and sounds like I'm being attacked by seagulls. It sounded like it was coming from the bottom bracket (I would have said crank bearing, but I've been learning). We had a look at it this weekend, but couldn't get the crank...

    Review Tannus Armour Inserts

These are certainly the most expensive pool noodles you can buy. Have to say that after fitting them on both front and rear, it changed the bike. For me, it seems a smoother, easier and less crashy ride. The tyres seem more rounded and less deformation under load, which either gives less...

    Suntour NCX SP-12

So far I'm happy with the angle it's at. It certainly means my ass arrives a little less in tatters

    Suntour NCX SP-12

It's not as rakish as it looks. It is angled up slightly at the font, rather than the only flat option of the standard post. But I think it looks more so just because of the angle of the photo. Probably because it was on the side stand. A better shot.
