Cheers D8ve. I'm not looking to go recumbent, perhaps I should have put a picture up My UK google searching keeps coming back to the Electra townie, it has the riding position I think I'm after but there's nothing local to me, In the good old US of A this style looks to be popular & most...

has anyone any experience of forward crank or flat foot bikes, typically known as beach cruisers. I've always liked the idea but haven't seen anything like it in my area (Northampton) Now With my bad back I'm riding more upright than ever, especially on my human only powered bike. Also I think...

Agreed, I've cam locks on my quick change wheels (2 sets, on & off road tyres) & seat post again adjusted during ride when I get to the rough/technical sections, along with Velcro attached saddle & frame packs, what's left to protect ? In the vid I see these locks fitted to the handlebar...

Not everyone not me for sure. A Not so smart phone for emergencies is good enough, I don't need connectivity to enjoy the countryside while I'm cycling :p

    Giant dirt E 2016

Nice, as a Bosch/Cube owner I particularly like how well the motor blends in to the frame. Built in as a posed to built around.

Humane way of scaring off unwanted neighbourhood cats

A friend with a similar problem built a garden sprinkler system activated by motion sensors. He only needed it working for a week before the cats found a new playground/toilet. He keeps the system in place & turns it on every few months just incase ;)

Off topic question for battery experts

This guy is still selling 18650 cells. They come in prs and you'll need to separate them by removing the heatsrink & cuting the tabs in half. To run my lights I've brought a few prs, split them and then reassembled them in blocks of 6 to get 13.2 amps @ 3.7v ive also built a pack containing 12...

    Experiences with Slime sealant

All valid points and no offence ment. I have seen old tubes hanging in bushes along the trails, so it's all to easy to assume someone just dumped it  I'd love to have full confidence in a automatic tyre sealing product And I've read of many with similar experiences to yours. I've also...

    Experiences with Slime sealant

6 Slime patches & a spare tube in my saddlebag :) I don't want to have to rely on something that works "most of the time" when I'm 20+ miles from home. Tried & tested tube & patches haven't let me down ( yet ) 4 flats in 2,000 miles on my cube & 3 of those were on a one mile stretch of...
