    ODK Cargo bike

I think that pedal-assist is fitted to the later models. It has been a long project for Tora, starting with rear-motor, derallieur gears, and progressing to where he is now. If you watch the videos where he goes to China, they are interesting in themselves, for a view of China. This country just...

    ODK Cargo bike

I just received this email, and thought I would post it here, in case it is of interest. I have no connection with Juiced Riders, except as an admirer of Tora Harris, who seems to have put a lot of effort into his creation. The NipNip site itself is worth a look, as it seems to a bit beyond just...

    SmartaBike

Thanks for that, but it's possibly a bit far for me, and I may have found the frame I need on AliExpress, which would solve my problems!

    Help!

Yes, this is the sort of bike I have decided I want. The front rack I can sort, http://www.dutchbikebits.com/steco-transport-front-rack but my Woosh Santana will not allow me to convert to 3 speed. I was warned by the helpful people at Woosh!! I am hoping to find a suitable frame, fit rigid...

    Canton Fair-electric bikes

http://www.gzamanda.com/canton-fair?gclid=CJHy6Z6VhMUCFZTLtAodVRMAGw As you say, it's pretty big! I have noticed that your Kudos site has gradually lost the practical bikes, eg. Duke, Duchess, Safari, supposedly because they did not sell well enough. That's understandable, if you are trying to...

Broken spoke - what sort of nipples do others use?

I had one spoke break in the rear wheel of my Santana, at about 1000 miles. I slackened them all off, replaced the broken one and lubricated both ends of every spoke, so that anything that was supposed to move could move. I had to take the tyre and tube off to do this, and learned the hard way...

    Couple of bargains have appeared...

http://www.therange.co.uk/silent-force-electric-bike//the-range/fcp-product/90325 This one down to £299. While on EBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BANKRUPT-STOCK-Electric-City-Bikes-Sold-as-seen-Clearance-Unisex-Adults-/321697479965 I notice they are both low-step, three-speed models with no...

where to purchase spokes for 26" rear wheel?

When a spoke broke in the back wheel of my Woosh Santana, I had five replacements (paid for) within a day or so, thanks to Helpful Hatti. I only used one - I still have the other four! If you take one out of the wheel and measure it, it will make it easier to search for a replacement. EBay is a...

Shetland woman looking to find my perfect Ebike, Need Help Please!

Hullo Shetland Wife. You seem to be searching for the Holy Grail - an attractive, practical ebike at a reasonable price! I have had a Woosh Santana since May 2013. My wife has owned her Viking Prelude about the same length of time. (Parkers of Bolton). It's lovely to ride, with wide handlebars...

    Woosh - more dreadful service

I was recently quoted 70 euros for transporting a Biba cargo bike from Spain to UK. I thought that was reasonable.

    Help

If you want step-through and Nexus gears, the Ezee Primo seems to be a good bet, at £800. I don't know what the terrain is like where you live, but if it's not hilly, then you just do not need lots of gears. The lady I know with a Freego (4 years ownership) says she uses two gears, living here...

Bike which will take rear child seat?

Yes, I like the look of that, but no 3 speed? Difficult start-off if you get caught in top gear with a load on. That was the appeal for me, for the ones I've found, plus the very low step frame. What is the price of this, please? I tried your site.

Bike which will take rear child seat?

It was because of all these problems that Tora Harris went on this route: http://www.juicedriders.com/story/ I have found another on Alibaba. I don't know if they are in direct competition. http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/New-cargo-electric-bike_202680843.html Any dealers on here have...

    Leisure v Utility

Almost 100% utility, I suppose. Work five days a week, then shopping, taking things to the tip etc on others. I have had people say: 'I saw you on your electric bike the other day', and I've no idea where or when, but it helps spread the word, I suppose, if they know it's electric. They are...

    Freego Bikes

I know two people with Freego bikes. One is male, has done about 9000 miles on his, and is on his second battery in about 3-4 years. The frame tube is cracking by the saddle, but he has had no luck with replacement. The other person is female, owned hers for 4 years, used for 10-20 miles every...

[Aug 29, 2014] HGV Safety Day - Portsmouth (Hampshire UK)

This came through to us at work: 78% of cycle collisions in Portsmouth occur at junctions and roundabouts. A startling statistic considering Portsmouth has more than double the Hampshire average of bicycle commuters. TJ Transport Ltd are proudly hosting 'Exchanging Places - Cycle Safety Event'...
