To tell the truth I was planning to point OP to Seneagle and Nealh camp and to use their experience. Bike should be tailored for individual person and it seems OP prefers to ride on roads. For me off road is priority.

Electric bikes, cars and scooters could be 'removed' from UK roads over growing fire fears

Internet is full of rubbish. Lenny have mercy and don't bring it here.

    Finally its rideable!

Really neat conversion. I like cable protector under motor. Did you buy or 3D print it? Well done. PS For this bike I would choose rear hub motor.

Long story short - you can have very powerful and still legal bike. ...and you can have all the torque you need. Excellent bike, not mediocre.

You fell in a trap. ...you are forgiven as you were clearly half asleep. ;) It is not a good battery. One must be very careful when buying from PSW (or other Chinese shops). They have different mentality and they present goods differently. It takes some time to get used to their methods. You...

This not a bad advice, but... Eleglide are OKish bikes. My question still stands. Why to settle with mediocre choice when you can aim for excellence? Eleglide is an easy fix. You click buy now and you get a bike. Easy and simple. What I offer is much more difficult. You would have to acquire...

By good donor I mean a bike which would meat your needs and have good components. It can be a mountain bike, hybrid, road etc. I guess a hybrid bike for you would be a good choice. Good components like hydraulic disc brakes, air forks etc. You don't need Facebook account to buy really. Can be...

Why choose mediocre option when he can go straight to pedelec Nirvana? This is a rare opportunity when somebody is asking for advice before buying. Buy once, buy well and be happy. I would say find a good donor on Facebook (if you don't have one already). 250W rear hub motor, at least 500W KT...

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Shame you didn't ask before buying, but I like your attitude. I hope soon you will get your batteries with enough juice to enjoy scenic rides. ...and please post some pictures so we could enjoy them too.

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

Folders are designed to be small and foldable. They are not powerful machines. Single gear on hills is a disaster.

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

If I were you I wouldn't consider opening batteries. I would rather check if there is space to mount hailong battery instead.

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

I bought 48V 17.5Ah Samsung battery from PSW (shipped from Germany). Paid around £240 if I remember well. There were some problems - they sent me wrong battery and I had to wait a month for right one, but it was worth to wait. It can keep my bike going for entire day.

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Yes... 60Ah only £300 and same size as 20Ah? I wish it was possible. Unfortunately it is not easy to buy a battery and it will only get worse. I am very pleased with mine. I hope it will last a while.

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Don't worry. You can edit your first post and add "I didn't buy battery from PSW" or something like that for clarity. Why would you need 30Ah battery if you don't mind me asking? It must be massive. BTW full refund after two weeks is something you should be happy about. Try to get money back...

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Just to clarify... have you bought a battery on Aliexpress from PSW? I have never seen 48V 30Ah battery in their offer.
