What like that? A screen grab on an Android tablet.

    Battery hire?

Cost me €5 per day to hire a 500wh Yamaha battery before I fitted my extender.

Before I got my extender I used to borrow a 500wh battery from a local hire place for €5 a day;). They wanted to charge me less but I just gave them 5, when I first asked I was expecting more than that.

    Chain jumping/slipping under load

What's going on with the diagonal marks on the chain? Certainly looks like its not indexed properly to me (or mech hanger is bent ). Speed sensor magnet could do with truing up too.

15 mph is a lot faster than someone on a standard bike when going uphill. A driver sees a bike and thinks 7 mph max up here I can get past no problem before that car coming the other way and takes twice as long to get past! When riding downhill most tend to sit further out into the road as they...

I'm not necessarily on about sport, there are plenty of people having serious accidents on roads with relatively shallow gradients. Sadly a few weeks ago a German lady holidaymaker was killed when a car underestimated the speed a couple of ebikers were going and cut in to avoid an oncoming...

Agree with all of that, however London isn't the whole of the UK. I cringe when I see some of the ebikes and ebikers around me in the UK. So many people both here in Austria and in the UK can now get into situations that they can't handle because the powered bike gets them to the top of the...

Really! My overall perception of a lot of the bottom end ebikes is how terrible the brakes are. My MTB stops a lot quicker from 25-30 mph than my Haibike despite a 203mm brake upgrade. The MTB has 180 front and 160 rear but weighs nearly 15 kg less.

    Switched to Haibike SduroTrekking

I'm sure it would invalidate the warranty. If you are careful it is possible to do this with little trace, if I removed mine I doubt any bike shop would spot that it had been there. If I had been at home with more equipment then I am sure it could have been done with even less trace.

I bought the battery a 10s3p with Samsung INR18650-35E cells from Akkuservice Dellinger in Germany (info@akku-dellinger.de) complete with BMS and fabricated a housing for it ( I know of someone who used a Rosswheel frame phone bag to contain the battery but theirs was 10s4p). It is connected...

What you need is an extender battery like mine, 378Ah just over 1.5 kg and fits on top of the motor. (Must get round to painting the mounting brackets)

    Bosch Motor Derestriction

The sensor is held on with a tight fitting neoprene chainstay protector. If I remember correctly there may be a tywrap under there as well. To be honest I don't know why I have left it like that, where I usually ride it is of little use as it is usually 10% + up or down so 25kmh isn't applicable...

    Bosch Motor Derestriction

The diameter of the magnet is smaller than the threads. A normal pedal spanner is used to tighten the pedals.

    Bosch Motor Derestriction

Over a year for me, the magnet is epoxied into the end of the pedal where the hex for the allen key is. No problems.
