How to connect two 36v batteries and NOT getting 72v

When mine are charged fully they go together without problems. The advantage of running parallel is you put less stress on the batteries and probably don't fully cycle them. Both of these will lead to longer life. If you are not comfortable you could just run them sequentially.

    World's lightest electric road bike 2019 ?

Making them lighter is something that needs focus, not just for road bikes. My Haibike mtb is far too heavy for the amount of power it produces / I use.

How to connect two 36v batteries and NOT getting 72v

Why? XT 60 connectors make and break both together and are keyed so they can't be fitted the wrong way round.

How to connect two 36v batteries and NOT getting 72v

I would use XT60 connectors. Just put XT60 splitter into Ebay for a ready made one, of course you will have to solder plugs on to the wires yourself. On mine I was able to solder directly to the bottom of the battery connection terminals on the battery holder.

How to connect two 36v batteries and NOT getting 72v

Connect them in parallel, positive to positive and negative to negative. Make sure the voltages are close to identical (0.2v ish) when connecing them. Disconect them from each other before charging or you will bypass the BMS.

    Front/Rear brake wear

Yes, front brake is always the more efficient, when you brake more weight goes onto the front wheel so it has more traction. Its the same reason a lot of cars have front discs and rear drums or at least bigger discs on the front.

    Bosch cx or Yamaha pw

I knew that I was just teasing;) or maybe bringing a different point of view to the table. Very few around here actually have 600W motors, the vast majority here are Bosch / Yamaha crank drives. Very few hub drives in the mountains though you do see plenty in the Inn valley. I think the 600W...

    Bosch cx or Yamaha pw

I'm in the Alps, 10% average over 10km is one of my local hills (with a down in the middle). Most of my rides are somewhere between 1 and 2 thousand meters of climbing with occasional outings over 3000. We are allowed 600W motors here.

    Bosch cx or Yamaha pw

Just had a quick look on the local Intersport website, every mountain bike has a front mech. Very few people ride here with 1X setups, only the very lightest and fittest.

    Bike for heavy user

Of course it depends on your target market, I wish I had spent a bit more on a better fork (maybe my next upgrade ) nearly every time I go out on mine I'm using most if not all of the travel. Brakes also need a lot of consideration when you have an extra 12 - 15kg of bike to stop.

    Austria joins th e-bike boom

I've only borrowed it, I really live in the grim mining area in the North East of England. While it lasts (we will have to see what Brexit brings) living here for the biking in the summer and skiing in the winter suits us perfectly. We go back to the U.K. for spring and autumn.
