    Help with problem

Hello good folks, For some strange reason my 3 week old bike (Wisper 705se) has lost all power. Happened a short way into a ride, pedal assist power cut out completely. Thankfully walk assist still worked so I managed to get back home in this sweltering heat! Battery is fully charged, hubby...

    Wisper 905 Torque versus ???????

Similar to Lord Luton... I would suggest considering the 905se. My hubby has recently purchased one and he really likes it. He tried the Torque, but went for the SE, not because of price, but because it suited his needs. Something to consider maybe :)

    New Bike - update

Good news, Angelnorth; will have a go next time I'm out on it. Good choice too -have lots of fun when you get your bike :)

    New Bike - update

Thanks David (Amps), that summarises it all very neatly and, for me, proves the SE was the right choice. I must admit I hadn't realised that the throttle could be used when pedaling (until Angelnorth mentioned it) and I'll definitely have a go with that the next time my asthma decides to play...

    New Bike - update

Thanks Angelnorth - could you imagine that :) I have used the throttle as a walk assist; on one of my rides there's a short, but very steep, tunnel that I'm not confident enough to ride up -so I use it to help push the bike to the other side. It is heavy, as you say, so the walk assist really...

    New Bike - update

Haven't tried the throttle, no, but didn't think it was 15mph -more like 4mph. Will have a read - thanks. Am going to get in touch with my dealer because, today, my bike has developed a sort of scraping sound when I peddle :( not sure what's happening -guess it might need a few tweaks. Still...

    New Bike - update

At the moment it's leisure but the aim is to commute. Just trying to get my 'bike legs' ready. I'm sure someone more knowledgable can advise whether a torque bike gives you that extra power on a steep hill or not, but my understanding is that on a torque you only get out what you put in...

    New Bike - update

Helpful responses - as always, thanks. I guessed I hadn't 'bedded them in' properly - hmm. The dealer I bought from does offer very good after sales service, so I will get in touch with them and see what they say. My bike is waiting to have a very minor paint touch-up, so maybe when that's...

    New Bike - update

Well, it's been a few weeks now and I just thought I'd pop back on to say how pleased I am with my purchase (Wisper 705se). I'm getting to grips with the peddle assist and gears, tending to ride with assist on 2 or 3 and in mid gear -which gets me around my local roads with ease. What I love...

    My new ride...

As promised (David) here's a picture of the lovely Wisper 705se in soft blue - taken literally a few minutes after delivery. Took her out for a ride and I absolutely loved it. Not been on a bike for years and so my 'bike legs' are a bit rusty. Had a few wobbly wheel moments, whilst getting...

    E-Bike Advice Please

All good advice -but, as a newbie myself, I do think Emo Rider has pretty much captured the best. Aside from trying various models to suit your needs and budget, having the aftercare service of a local dealer is, in my view, a must :)

    Hello

Yep. Will do, from a newbie's perspective. Took me a little while to decide and my choice was determined by the advice I received on here coupled within my rather short stature

Will do. Paperwork in so hopefully will be able to snap a photo in the not too distant future. Just in time for the start of Summer. Woop

    Hello

So pleased for you :) I'm new to all things e-bike related and have just put through a cycle to work request for the Wisper 705se... can't wait. Like you I did a fair bit of online research and headed to a local dealer -also found the info and help on here invaluable. Enjoy your ride, when it...

    More help please...

Hi David, Sorry - missed this, but spoke to someone at EC on Friday and changed my order to the 705se (blue). Will need a quote so that I can get my payroll department to process the C2W order and then I'll be good to go. Will be in touch when it's sorted, which hopefully won't take too...

    More help please...

Jumping back on my thread.. Might sound a daft question, but why do pedelacs have gears? I guess, to some degree, that was partly why I struggled a little on my trials yesterday. I kept using the gears almost like you would a standard bike and wasn't sure what pedal assist, or torque setting...

    More help please...

Both replies have been very helpful and make more sense. Things take a while to sink in. Hubby calls it age related Anyways, as a newbie to the whole ebike world I think I'm going to go with what some might view as the 'entry' option. Will call EC tomorrow and change my order. Guys, if you see...

    More help please...

Ok. So I visited the local e-bike shop having pretty much made up my mind I wanted a Wisper. The question in my mind being "do I want to spend the extra on a Torque or go with the SE". The guys at Electrifying Cycles were great. Let me ride both and offered lots of advice. In the end I asked...

    Newbie seeking advice, please

Again thank you all for your contributions -has given me much to think about and I will be trying some on for size, so to speak :)
