Do you reckon firms like this would charge a lot for a small job like this, if they agree to do it at all?

I contacted the firm just to see out of interest if it's something they can do and how much they would charge.. I asked for the rim and the motor casing as separate jobs.. I noticed on their colour options though, they don't offer black and the default finish seems to be silver!

The spokes are ok as they're silver on the original D9 ;-)

Sounds interesting! Not something I could do, but I wonder if there's any places could do that if I sent the rims off to them.

Plodding onwards... Well since we're pretty much snowed in now (about 4 inches of snow fallen already and still coming down thick and fast) and not much is moving around here, work wise.. I might fit this rear wheel see how the silver looks against the black frame... It's hard to get an idea...

Thanks Dave, the seller said as much as I asked him.. it might be ok for mock-up purposes for my video/photos.. but won't last long beyond that. I've asked ATB Sales the manufacturer of Mezzo if they can supply 36H rims on special order.. I won't hold my breath through. I've had a search...

Does anyone know any sources of black 349mm 36h wheel rims? I'm looking for one to spoke a Q100 motor into. Preferably UK/EU or China, not USA. Even a factory in China which could possibly make them to order would be useful.

Disaster! I didn't notice but the wheel rim supplied is silver and my bike is black so it doesn't match the black front rim :( And to make matters worse, Catsnapper tells me that 349mm 36h rims are not available in black! Only from one company in USA for £40. This is quite a set back. I...

Wheel arrived! I received my wheel today delivered overnight from Catsnapper, all built up and ready to be fitted to the bike!!! It looks excellent. I can't wait to get it fitted and may tackle it after work tonight. The ice is almost gone around here so it would be ideal for a test ride...

FINALLY received my freewheel from China yesterday (ordered on 27th November) and it's now on its way to Catsnapper along with the motor for assembly into a wheel rim... If the weather stays this mild and frost-free, I may be riding it soon before spring :)

I'm Planning my first train trip with my Mezzo next month and it that goes ok my first international trip will be a flight to Gibraltar after a visit to the channel isles by ferry. Apparently its free to take bikes on the ferry if you wheel them on.. Not sure what the policy is with folding...
