    Changing Wheels...Cube Bike?

Assuming that you are just looking for comfort as opposed to any other reason then the first thing I would do is drop the pressure in the tyres. Changing wheels is not a small job and will totally change the geometry of the bike and probably not in a good way...

    New helmet required

Glasses wearer here - I'm a fan of Bell helmets (currently a sixer) but anything that is MIPS is better than a non-MIPS (helps with torsional impacts). I ride a lot and commute as well so wanted something with decent protection to the lower part of my skull hence the purchase. Best thing is...

    Cube Acid 400 chainring upgrade

Hey Marc Yep, moving to XT 11-spd was easy and straightforward. 42t sprocket will fit, bit of paint scraping on the rear stay but no other changes needed. Will dig up details and a photo tomorrow for you.

    Cube Acid 400 chainring upgrade

HI Phil - on my first upgrade I did up the chain to a KMC 118 link chain which gave me just enough extra to compensate for the larger chainring. 2nd upgrade was to move to a x11 setup where that chain wasn't long enough for the monster top cog and I'm pretty sure that I ended up with a 12 speed...

    Help finding new forks

Just done exactly that on my 2018 bike.. I replaced with a Marz Bomber Z2 https://www.mbr.co.uk/reviews/forks/marzocchi-bomber-z2 and its lovely.. things you will need: Yes, the 1.5 - 1.25 taper will fit but you will find that the headset is probably a reducer - my Suntour forks were a 1.25...

Best E-Bike for Towing a child Trailer

Oh and I highly recommend the Chariots; I know that they have been bought by Thule but the big wheels, the fact you can convert them to a pushchair etc means that they hold their value well, much like Islabikes....

Best E-Bike for Towing a child Trailer

I spent many a month with my kids in a Chariot trailer and my first e-bike back in 2011. It was a front hub drive bought pre-made from Cytronex so a small hub motor and a small bottle battery. Kept the rear end clear for mounting the hitch and me, the kids and that bike probably did a couple of...

    Next upgrade dilemma..

Finally finished off fitting my new XT drivetrain to the Cube last week so took it out for a spin today to bed everything in. All felt groovy so took an extended route home; got to the “stick to the roads or go proper xc” and I chose the XC route.. It was heroic, Epping Forest has lots of small...

Larger chainring for Cube Acid Hybrid 500

I went for a Gebhardt Singlespeed MTB or Road 3/32" 104mm BCD Chainring with 42t from https://www.velosolo.co.uk/shopcrank.html which, for me, works really well on my commute. EDIT: If you are anywhere near Epping Forest then please feel free to drop round and borrow some tools ;-)
