    Ebike yose power failure

Don’t give up, NeilNeil. Once it’s working it’s a great unit.

    Don't forget your helmet

It’s a tricky one. I don’t know what the laws are in the UK any more, but I suppose helmets should be mandatory for under 16/18 year olds, as they aren’t ‘responsible’, and should have protection regardless of what their parents think, but for adults - well, it’s your head. I always wear one...

Ebikes and the Unfit Very Heavy Rider - A Cautionary Tale for Newcomers

Thank you! My bike is a 2004 Carrera Vanquish - it’s a very cheap road bike from a bike store chain in the UK I converted with a Yosepower kit. The drivers here are unbelievably courteous, the big lorry drivers in particular. They will cross to the other side of the road to pass, or wait behind...

Lightweight kit from MTB (9 year old)

I think that the OP has his answer, just-joined Andy. Unless you can help?

Ebikes and the Unfit Very Heavy Rider - A Cautionary Tale for Newcomers

I think all of us heavier riders are liable to the many and varied foot/ankle/knee/wrist issues out there, sadly. My two are carpal tunnel and ‘hot foot’, which I think is arthritic. My achillies tendinitis makes it difficult to walk but happily has zero effect on riding - yippee! Losing weight...

    Spare parts...

That’s pretty reassuring Nealh thank you. I will get a spare controller I think then as I already worry about the built-in type overheating (though last summer there were no issues) or being discontinued. Sounds overall like my kit is doing ok (but PAS 2 90%, PAS 3 10%, higher never prob helps!)

    Spare parts...

Good afternoon all. I am abso-flippin-lutely loving my Yose rear hub kit after just under a year’s use. I’ve done 8,500kms, trying to get myself fit again after cancer, and most of those kms were done with a silly grin on my face. I’m addicted. There have been some minor niggles which I’ve...

    Questions questions

I’ve got them in the wrong place? But in any case I must make sure the axle is fully seated in the hangers? (I went for a ride this ago with it like this, nervous as a kitten).

Spreading rear stays for hub motor

Well I fitted my wheel as it was the one that came with the kit. From this forum it seems that it is very usual to have to spread the rear stays to get rear hub conversions in. If that’s the case, I wonder why the manufacturers dont make them a little narrower? Also, may I suggest not using a...

    Questions questions

So these are with the axle not sitting fully in the hanger - and the wheel sits perfectly within the stays but def looks offset to the rest of the bike. The wheel is dished already - not sure now much further I’d want to go and still have enough tension in the spokes on the ‘loose’ side...but is...

    Questions questions

Like a bad penny, I‘m on here again. Please know that I try to search this site before asking anything! After removing my rear hub motor wheel, I’ve noticed that on reassembly, the tyre fouls the non-drive chain stay, unless I back the axle that side a few mm out of the hanger and tighten things...

Ebikes and the Unfit Very Heavy Rider - A Cautionary Tale for Newcomers

I’ll add my ha-penny’s worth - I started ebiking last March at 142kg following cancer treatment and less than-welcome atrial fibrillation as I recovered from that. The hardest bit is getting on the bike, every time. I rode on flats with my 350w 36v system to start, now anything up to say 15%. I...

Spreading rear stays for hub motor

I tried looking up ‘how to spring an alloy frame’ on Google but got “Best Selling Prouddemon New Retro Women's Round Steampunk Sunglasses”. I’ve ordered them - now all I need are your instructions on how to use them, Scorpio !-)

Spreading rear stays for hub motor

I’m wondering if people have tried patching butyl inner tubes? I just read one ‘patch master’ who recommends 3 thin coats of glue to the tube and 2 to the patch, and min 30mins wait after glueing, pref overnight. Maybe they are a little different? I’ve never had problems before, other than with...
