Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

Thanks for that I will give it a go. I have sorted out an angle bracket that should do the job but I don't want to use it unless i have to

Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

Thanks for that idea. I am using a rack mounted top pannier box like the football bag in your picture now. The tie wrap is a good idea and I can do that easily. I was thinking of a lockable top box but the locks are not much good and they advertise the value of the contents.

Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

I have asked if they can supply a second nut as lock nut. I think I can make some form of bracket that will do the job I was hoping that the motor torque would tighten the fixing nut looks like I got that wrong

Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

Its welded to the underneath of the rear forks, behind the bottom bracket. I might be able to drill a larger hole, I haven't the courage to remove it with an angle grinder. I think I will be able to bolt some form of simple angle bracket in place if all else fails I can use a tie wrap. I have...

Tonsheng tsdz2 fitted to old Dawes hybrid

I have been testing this out for the last few days. I have the 250W motor with the VLCD5 display. The battery is the Power Pak 36V 10 Ah from Panda Ebikes. First impressions are very good. There are 4 assist levels the bottom one is a bit subtle I tend to use the 2nd normally and bump it up to...

UK or China for E-bike Kit

Hi, I bought a TDZS2 kit from PSW power. I used their EU no tax free shipping option. So although they are a Chinese company the goods came form Germany. There were no problems, kit came in about 5 days tracked via DHL. As a test I emailed a request for the installation manual prior to...

Possible build Dahon Expresso and Tongsheng TSDZ2B

Thanks to everyone for their advice. I have ordered the TSDZ2 from PSW and am awaiting delivery. I have decided to convert a Dawes Hybrid instead of the folder as I got concerned about the weight it being difficult enough to get it in and out of the car as it is. I mostly use the folder on...

    Keeping your folded bike folded

FWIW I use a reusable cable tie and piece of sponge rubber to tie together the forks on my Expresso. Makes a big difference to how I can lift it in and out of the car.

What about VAT will that apply or is there a chance it will be missed?

Possible build Dahon Expresso and Tongsheng TSDZ2B

Thanks all that seems very positive. I am struggling to find a supplier of these kits other than Amazon. The bottom bracket does not have a cassette fitted but is a standard 68mm wide not sure about the internal diameter though

Possible build Dahon Expresso and Tongsheng TSDZ2B

Thanks for that I now realise that most cadence sensors function as a simple on/off switch and switch on the selected power. these sensors seem to profile it slightly

Possible build Dahon Expresso and Tongsheng TSDZ2B

Hi, Thinking of adding a Tongsheng TSDZ2B mid drive kit to my Dahon Expresso. Wondering if anyone has any experience of doing this. I am a little worried about the weight I am adding. One additional thing about torque sensing controllers. When going up hills and changing down gear to make...
