    problems with Panda eBikes

I have used panda a few times. I had a small issue once and their communication and solution went way beyond my expectations. Quite a few good reports on these pages so I do hope they get you sorted quickly

    Chainring issue

Well , firstly- thanks ! I didn't even think that was an option. It's perfect :) As for the point , well , horses for courses but on my commuting machines I prefer bullet proof, no maintenance, keep it simple approach So hub motor , hub gears work for me Also I actually really like the 2wd...

    Replacement battery

Lots of batteries look the same ie same casing but it's the cells inside that count. A cheapo Chinese battery with no name cells may well be a false economy. It won't last as long as a decent Samsung celled one for example

Calling winter warriors ! Bike gear at Aldi this Thursday

I bought some cheapo spare back up lights, gloves and hi viz waterproof jacket for commuting purposes Their merino stuff was a bit of a con. Called "with merino" and only 50% max , rest polyester

Axle on BPM front too thick for dropouts

True but they wasn't quite the point I was trying to make; that's why I compared old bike with new bike. Both front hub etc. old bike fine, new one not Doesn't your comment rather compare the same bike pre and post conversion ?

    Battery Chargers

Which lipo please ? I have become disillusion with Hk multistar longevity. Been using them for about two years....and replaced two of four in that time My Jimmy at bga pack runs and runs...no loss of capacity after two years of nearly daily rising. At least nothing discernable

    Im torn between two...

Hills plus six foot height (and presuming you are not a beanpole guy who weighs what an average 5 9 guy weighs) I concur, go for the Woosh Using any bike unrestricted will hurt your range. 15ah should be fine for both ways. A 10ah may not be. Though spare chargers are cheap on the Chinese...

Axle on BPM front too thick for dropouts

Ok so I filed the drops , slowly and by hand to be sure not to over do it. Axle is perfectly fitted. Even had to file some washers for perfection And extended the caliper/rotor to 203 to prevent motor fouling And finally found the bloody torque arms which I initially put in a safe place No...

    Rescue a failing Kalkhoff?

So may I ask if 50 cycles confirmed it was the motor? I ask because the issue you describe is rarely the motor. Far more common is a bad connection (either in wiring our battery itself- often the battery connection point) Can you describe inconvenient times? Generally bumps causing cutout is...

Hi - I'm looking for high speed pedelec commuting

To play devil's avocado Those tiny weight gains on an ebikeb don't make much sense. They will make little difference Do you carry a backpack or anything? How much does it weigh? And after a few weeks/months commuting I find it amazing how my pack grows in weight over time. I swear it has same...
