The one that came out of the frame was a 110 but the bike was made up from a load of random parts that I had laying around and so was not really suitable, but worked. I tried a 113 and still too short, so next I will buy a 118 and hopefully that will do it :) Roll on tomorrow

It's sorted now. I ended up screwing the tool into spindle with a long bolt and then putting the whole bike into a vice. Now I have to find a long enough bottom bracket to accommodate the peddle sensor.

It's a shimano bc 137 88 if that helps

Well I have made some progress but it was all arse about face. I have the cartridge removed from the LHS with a anti clockwise thread. I'm left with the cup......so which way to undo?

ahhhhh.......thanks D8veh, that makes a lot of sense now. It's more of a safety feature to prevent a "full power can't turn this damn thing off crash type situation" lol

It has a Shimano Nexus 8sp hub with thumb shifter and single chain ring on the front. I was going to add the electric hub to the front. hope this helps
