    Brexit, for once some facts.

Macron is already being accused by rumour of being a closet gay. I don't know how it is going to go, if it goes badly I'll ask for political asylum on the other side of the border... My guess is 65% Macron - 35% Le Pen. Those are the 35% who: - don't know what the EU does - believe that they...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A federation, not a country. The United States of Europe made up of 27 countries . For the moment the regulations are concentrated on consumer protection and the environnement. The laws on protection of citizens. I think the world only has a few bullies and I don't see the EU in that...

    New C5

We are not similarly equipped then  mine doesn't look like a vélomobile. I was thinking that the rear did bear some resemblance to that of a baboon however. You could ride that here about 1 month in the year with your clothes on and even in the UK how is he controlling internal fogging...

    Brake pads.

On road only, lots of hills, my front Magura hydraulic v-brake needs new blocks at 4900 km.

London Cycling, a bad start to the year

In Bilbao all signs are in Basque, so only the one language, but that doesn't make them less confusing ;) (yes, I think it is a message they are trying to send to Madrid...) On mixed paths, rule number one: pedestrians never look at signs :D I am often grumbled at by tourists during the summer...

    48v battery fully discharged voltage?

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/lithium_based_batteries At about 3.5v per cell you hit the cliff and useful power drops off very quickly especially if you are drawing lots of Amps.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Huh! Toys! KTM Sting 125 - 33 HP, I played with the dongle... :) 155 km/h on the flat with the wind behind you.

London Cycling, a bad start to the year

San Sebastian and Nantes have some strangely placed cycle paths too. I think the theory may be that it slows the cars down. Back in the day bikes and busses shared the same lane.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Now we can't go trusting those damned press agencies that employ real reporters can we! Better putting our faith in fakebook news feeds, after all they are where the orange man with tiny hands goes to get his alt-news... Now that the Daily Mail isn't a recognized Wikipedia source we can trust...

    Ideal gearing for ebike

If you had a decent controller and a 12 magnet PAS disk you would feel the motor kick in after about 1/8th of a pedal revolution.

At last a cassette for e-vélomobiles from Sunrace

11-50... with a 60 tooth chainwheel on a bicycle that would mean speeds from 11 km/h to 58 km/h but in a vélomobile you should be able to spin up to 80 km/h for short bursts

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am beginning to wonder if it is a good idea to continue posting to this forum because of your wonderful new internet laws. I am beginning to understand why the wicked witch wants free of the ECJ because the snoopers charter is definitely illegal under EU privacy law...

DIY Lithium 18650 Battery 5 part video

The battery is built.... Now for

I can see why you are worried about water proofing  Usually packs like yours are double shrink wrapped. I second d8veh's comment on the weight distribution. Personally I would have made two 24 V packs and put them in series. Each pack in the bottom of a pannier on either side and thus down...

BBS01 - change from 350watt to 250 watt with programming lead help?

You need a label printer. To be legal your motor needs 250 W stamped on it. That is basically the major difference between the two motors. If you really must you can set the Max Amps to 15 A instead of 18 A. Most people who have 250 W motors have set their Max Amps to 18 A... You have a...

Is there any point in Over Volting a mid-drive motor?

I second gearing and a battery capable of 20 Amps continuous "without" sag (mine sags 0.6 V on highest assist, about 0.1 V or less otherwise). You have a 104 BCD spider so you can play around with various chainwheels to find the one that is right for your riding style and terrain. Spinning...

    Battery life please.

As long as the frogs eat the mice that is OK it is when they start eating the cats you have real problems... I would be more worried about the whole bike than just the connectors! Some electric compatible hydrofuge spray on all connectors should help.

    Not hitting 54.6 ?

I was trying to explain (badly) what you have said. Individual cells will charge to the same voltage. Groups of cells will not charge to the same voltage if one or some cells in the group have different internal resistance. Read on battery university IIRC.

    Not hitting 54.6 ?

Worn cells. Individually the cells will charge to 3.5 but because of different internal resistances the weaker ones will drag the others down.
