    Cyclotricity Stealth Owners thread.

I use the volts reading and when it shows near 31 V I know I am running on empty. Or 36.5 for the LiPo battery. I don't look at the bars. The best way is a Watt meter on the battery which shows how much you have used and a bit of quick mental arithmetic tells you how much is left because you...

    Hope for LiPo?

The safety issue is the subject of the first post. I am not trying to sell the idea just saying that it works for me. I keep my LiPos safe in a fire resistant place despite my not mistreating them and making them unstable. My bike is legal, Woosh sold me the 250 W maximum nominative GSM motor...

    Hope for LiPo?

Lunacycle is around $700 for a 21 Ah 48 V battery that = $1400 for 42 Ah or 1323 €. HK Graphene 10000 mAh is 94€ a pop so in 2P2S (20 Ah) x 2 = 744€ or just under half. (I corrected above where I had only calculated one 20 Ah pack) Graphene Slightly heavier - about 400g per 20 Ah battery...

    Hope for LiPo?

We have forum members using in excess of 40 Ah. My trike project includes 40 Ah nominative of 44.4 V LiPo, that's 1500 Wh for 744 € and which can be charged from empty in just over 2 hours. I am still looking for a Li-ion battery that has those specs for that price. It will be using a 250 W...

Experience of Running a 24 Volt Viking Eco stepper at 36Volts

Who? They don't know what they are talking about. Batteries can be legally up to 48 V nominative (54.6 V hot off the charger). You have the legal obligation to restrict the speed at which assistance cuts off to 25 km/h/ I agree that a sine wave controller and LCD with 5 levels of power...

    Hope for LiPo?

https://www.engadget.com/2017/01/15/built-in-flame-retardant-lithium-ion/ If you can remove the fire risk from the LiPo equation their advantages must out number their shortcomings? (modern, lighter more energy dense LiPo d8veh :))

Battery upgrade for Cycloctricty Stealth 1000w

I thought about that for quite a while and came to the conclusion that it was just as easy to swap batteries. The advantage of having the batteries in parallel is less sag on the hills.

DIY Lithium 18650 Battery 5 part video

I have a Samsung celled 10.4 Ah battery that is down to 80% capacity after 18 months. I put that down to drawing massive Amps on long steep climbs regularly rather than charging to 42 V. If you look further into online docs on battery life you will find that asking too much from a battery is...
