Long range: Bosch 400Wh (Gepida Reptila) or Impulse 15Ah ( Kalhoff Agattu)?

My 400 w/h Bosch battery called time at 28.5 miles yesterday, the display hadn't started flashing but there was less power going to the motor, the 300 w[h battery I then put on did another 10 miles home, it had about 6 miles left when I got home. That was 3,000 feet of ascent and an average...

A question for all electric bike londoners ??

I see a lot more sports cyclists on my rides these days, mainly because of the speed differences up the hills, I catch and pass rather a lot, but then they pass me on the flat and downhill too.

    bizarre.....

They're looking at that for embedding into the roads for electric cars.

A question for all electric bike londoners ??

Perhaps we could have a spotted section. I spotted a Kalkhoff Panasonic drive (I think) locally the other day here in the High Peak.

Woosh Sport CD review - anyone?

Not sure what's involved in the process of getting the bike here, but I'd be prepared to take it on a few of my hilly Peak district rides, I can also share the ride data on the Garmin connect site. Be interesting to see how it compares to a Bosch crank drive.

    cycle computer apps?

Indeed, they're looking out for me now :( As I have a Garmin I've tried their website, seems reasonable after initial confusion trying to set it up.

    cycle computer apps?

Every ride I did ended up with several KOM's and a flag from someone on every ride I did, understandable really. So you can either make them private or log them as a workout, neither of which are ideal, the workout doesn't show the segments, and private means you can't share it. I tried map my...

    NuVinci harmony coming in 2012

Not sure on the cog sizes, copy what's on a production bike with the same wheels. This chart is always interesting to compare things http://www.simpel.ch/fileadmin/speztooldata/download/N360_GearInchCard.pdf Actually it quotes a 36x18 on the chart.

    Bosch vs Impulse (again)

There's a bit of a knack when the hub is pared with the Bosch, you just have to give a very brief full pause to pedalling and you can then get some nice slick changes. I soon got used to it. Bear in mind the shimano hub geared Bosch bikes are limited to 200% assist and the derailleur ones have...

    Bosch vs Impulse (again)

Range is very dependant on the terrain and also if you can ride above the assisted speed. I imagine the most demanding of rides with say 2000 feet of climbing would equate to around 27 miles for the 400 wh battery in Turbo, I'll be trying mine shortly having just bought one. Where do you live...
