That Hairon 18650 battery was the one I was looking at in post 78. How would that compare range and power wise against the Lipos listed above.? Think the easier option of the 18650 battery looks a good one with a lot less trouble..

I was just thinking about the battery as there are more options at 36v. As the motor is 48v then I will look at 48v battery options. Lipo or otherwise. From my little bit of research, any useful Range Lipo battery for 48v setup would be a big unit, which defeats my main reason for using Lipo.

Well that cost is a good incentive. I’ll look into it for my Specialised project. I’m tall enough to have the ‘under the seat’ number too. Any pictures of the inside of the bag?

I must look into these Lipos. I know they are not as simple to maintain/ use, but got to be worth a look.
