Bafang 8Fun Front Wheel - Rim replacement?

Can't you take the rim to you LBS and see if they have anything with a similar profile? That way you can re use the old spokes. That said, if they've done 6000 miles you probably be best putting new ones on. There are lots of spoke length calculators on line. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Error "06 info" on lcd?

Sorry, I had the numbers wrong earlier, but 52v is still low. It's a 13s battery (4.2 x 13=54.6). 52/13=4v/cell which is a bit low for a brand new battery, and probably means it's out of balance. It may balance up if you leave it on charge for a bit, but it also may have a fully cell, causing...

    Error "06 info" on lcd?

Test your meter like this: Set it measure resistance (ohms), connect both probes together. Should be just above 0. Apart should be about infinity. If you can't work out what setting, post a pic and we can help. Then, as trex says, test all three pairs of combinations of the motor wires. As I...

How's the Bank Holiday weather where you live.

Sunny in Devon, but we always get nice weather because the Met Office cherry pick the best conditions and assign it their HQ. I think that's how it works anyway. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Frame Only + Motor- where to buy?

What are you trying to achieve, what is your end goal? Presumably you have a bike already and you want to transfer wheels/brakes etc? Is cost a big issue? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Mid-Motor - highest assist level and no speed restriction - battery life

You don't need to go that big, just get a battery that is rated to do it. For example: http://eclipsebikes.com/hailong-13ah-lithium-frame-battery-samsung-cells-p-1118.html Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Error "06 info" on lcd?

A 48v battery should be just under 56v when new and fully charged. Much less than 55v and there's something wrong. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

Wow. If you do the maths it shows that a modern battery gives about 110 Wh/k, about 10 times more than the 2002 model. That's good progress. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Innovative idea for a hover board battery?

Yes, that should work. If I was to guess, I'd say don't go above 2C. You'll need a watt meter to see what's going on. One like this will work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252242300442 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Innovative idea for a hover board battery?

It will work, the problem is going to be getting enough current. For a 500w motor you will need 20 to 30 amps (depending on controller). Batteries have a 'C' rating. This the the maximum current, relative to capacity. So 1C at 4.4Ah is 4.4A. You also need a way to manage the discharge, so...

    New Electric bike shop, Devon

Exeter's only 10 miles, but I agree. I assume they will also be doing web sales, and I'm pretty sure they are getting ultra low rent on the shop. But I agree, its a bold decision. Time will tell if its a foolish one.....

    test battery capacity

I think you misunderstood my post. I'm saying that the SkyRC Imax chargers will only discharge a battery at 1A max. I'm presuming the OP needs to test batteries of a suitable capacity for an electric bike (c.10A/h)

    test battery capacity

You can only discharge at something like 1A, which is nowhere near enough to test a bike battery. You need closer 10A for a realistic test, more if you want to test how it will behave under load. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
