yesterday I covered just under 12 miles on my 300 w/h battery until it went flat, with an average speed of just 12 mph, to say I have range envy is an understatement.

Motorists and bikes. New rules from March

and they still make garages that are the same size now. There's a new estate near me where a lot of residents park a long way onto the pavement even though the road is plenty wide enough to actually park on it without causing an issue, a generation growing up having never walked anywhere perhaps?

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

In my opinion the disability is the key to this discussion, but the OP refuses to engage with me, certainly a low geared Yamaha powered bike could be suitable with its strong power with lower cadence speeds than the Bosch motors.

What's the motor? and given the 20% requirement has been slackened off things are less demanding.

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

I clocked over 50 mph down there on my e-bike one day, slightly slower going back up though. What will happen if you go over 120 bpm ?

Need some help looking for the fastest ebike to buy!

In that case a hybrid with this Bosch motor like this with a speed-up device (dongle) will do, I'd seek out a 500 wh battery model, although this 400 wh model should just cover the 20 miles https://www.leisurewheels.co.uk/m12b123s184p19816/CUBE-Touring-Hybrid-One-400-2018/RS_GB/84067

Just to say Juicy don't make bikes powerful enough for going up 20% hills with virtually no rider input.

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Yes you'll need something powerful to tackle the steep roads around here. I've no experience of kits but I'd say you need a powerful rear hub motor. ETA Just wanted to add that it sounds like you may have M.E ? apologies if not.

I've got a 1992 steel Kona and it is no where near that sort of weight, although I'm not sure of the exact weight, certainly it is considerably lighter than my e-bike.

Turbo on hills should roughly double your speed compared to non assisted, perhaps a bit more in your case coming from an old MTB, although I can't believe your old bike is as heavy as you say

easy enough to change, looks like flipping the stem will also lower the bars a fair amount, although I get the impression you can't see my posts because you've not responded to them :(

Gun Hill is pretty tame to be honest. My weedy Bosch classic with hub-gear friendly reduced power goes up Winnats like this. On the segment in the link I'm still 11 secs faster than Andy who holds the KOM. However on the e-bike segment someone has smashed my time by about 40 seconds, but he's...
