Where do you charge your battery?

How long will it play Space Oddity with a fully charged battery is my question. And of course there is no sound because there is no air so the speakers are not experiencing very much resistance. In fact does that even count as "playing" when there is no medium to transmit the sound?

Use it or lose it.. an interesting read.

Decathlon carry all the spares for their bikes plus parts for others. They have a workshop - don't expect good service before christmas when they are too busy preparing new bikes for delivery. There are 3 Decathlons within a 40 km radius from me, the biggest one with the most choice and staff...

    Battery care and chainring size

"The other thing that's wrong, rather than bad, is the gearing. The huge 46T chainring gives you a couple of time trialling gears, which you don't need, and no climbing gears, which you do. A simple swap out to a much smaller chainring (about 38T) would give a much better range of ratios for...

    Battery care and chainring size

What size is the chainwheel? Is that a cassette or a freewheel? In general 6 speed is a freewheel.

    Long Distance Tourer?

I posted a picture of this in another thread (forgot which one): https://www.bikerumor.com/2017/10/13/burley-trailers-coho-xc/ I wish they had gone for a 20" wheel but otherwise it pushes all the buttons. I have a 2 wheel trailer and you have to keep the speed down especially in the corners...

Battery advice wanted A123 pouch cells or 18650 cells

Those are 30 A peak controllers. Lots of weight and agressive use of a throttle with a very powerful direct drive motor won't help battery life. I think 18 months isn't too bad considering.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Been there. Done that... Mackerel is a bait fish for me now, I don't mind it smoked but my tolerance stops there.

    Long Distance Tourer?

Trailer for me. The bike handles better except on long downhills where braking becomes an issue.

    Long Distance Tourer?

I was basing my suggestion on this: Which part of Europe? Next November I hope to ride mine up the EV1 to my visit my eldest son http://www.eurovelo.com/fr/eurovelos What kind of tracks? I ride gravel tracks. As for practical they are not easy to get through man made obstacles.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Maybe the EU should just invade that blue area and put up a hard border? The Queen would be banished to Sandringham, the Prince of Wales to Wales... Scotland would say "can we be blue too?" We might keep them (for the whisky). That way the brexit fans would get what they wanted and probably...

Battery advice wanted A123 pouch cells or 18650 cells

OK so tell us about your motor and controller, let me guess a 1000 W motor and a 35 A controller? 9P Samsung 22F cells is 90 Amps, if you wore that out in 18 months you are drawing some serious current.

    New Build

There is a thread about these yosepower kits which seem pretty good value for money. You need to put a "250 W" sticker on it maybe if that stops you sleeping at night.

More like an unfortunate accident... Soros stands to lose a lot of money if brexit goes to completion, no secret there.

Long distance? You need a lawn chair! :) Only done about 50 km maximum so far but without a motor of course. Then ultra long distance, say 250 km a day: https://www.google.fr/search?q=velomobile&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwij_5Cz-pXZAhWlLsAKHagJAZoQ_AUICigB&biw=1303&bih=869
