    Brexit, for once some facts.

@gray198 On the torries side, Boris 'they nick our fish' Johnson is the politician that Brexiters should be wary about. He is more right wing than Thatcher herself. Public services are not safe if he becomes the next PM.

The EU (and by extension, globalization) do not suit everyone but I do want a fair fight, without the patriot card. Mair may want a lot more than just brexit

the killing of Jo Cox made me think that now is not the time for Brexit. A second referendum must be called under a left wing government.

good economic data may swing some to vote remain. The bookies' view is currently: remain: 4/9 66% probable leave: 7/4 34% probable

air springs are no more energy efficient than coil springs. Bad forks do the job poorly, that's all.

that would be the Kudos Sprint. The picture below is not 100% accurate but you get the idea. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/some-advance-info-on-the-latest-2016-kudos-models.24151/ Woosh have one similar second hand (not called the Alamo but woosh Compact) if you are interested.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think our politicians have always known the danger but they believe in their own gameplan, assuming that people aren't stupid enough to vote for lower house prices or higher inflation until the people call their bluff. I still think more than 5% of Brexiters will hold their nose in the poll...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

our governing politicians can't bring themselves to be honest with people who vote for them. Immigrants are their solution to aging population and shortage of workers in construction, social care, hospitality and agriculture. It's easier to blame someone else. It used to be immigrants from...

I can't see remain ever winning the immigration argument. The bookies' Brexit swingometer moved from 38% 62% to 42% 58% after the new polls put leave 6-7 points ahead this morning. It now swung back to 38% 62% this afternoon. It could well signal that Labour is getting through their core voters.

I am still not convinced by your argument. There are loads of simple, inexpensive suspension forks on the market for less than £50 retail. Even at this level, they offer more comfort than any rigid fork that I know of. This is an example of a £50 fork...

    Commuting bike

I agree with your philosophy towards building bikes but I still think that if you build a bike for the elderly, £30 spent on a suspension fork is better than £30 spent on a rigid fork.

the choice of suspension depends very much on the rider. It seems to me elitist to say that 'otherwise it's worse than useless'. It's certainly not useless to the elderly riders. They need the suspension but don't need the adjustable preload and lockout. Don't be surprised if I tell you that I...

    Commuting bike

if you reduce the tyre pressure to gain in comfort, you lose in energy. If you compare the energy efficiency of various elements: rims, spokes, tyres, suspension, the suspension is the clear winner in terms of comfort versus energy cost. That justifies the cost and the extra weight of...

Scientific research suggested that mountain bike suspension forks waste about 1% - 2% of riders' input. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/245308958_A_Model_for_Determining_Rider_Induced_Energy_Losses_in_Bicycle_Suspension_Systems

    Another newbie question

that depends a little on which bike you ride but in general, you don't have to switch off. Power consumption is much reduced on flat roads when the wind is not in your face.

for remain to win, labour must come out to tell their voters now that if they don't want to vote for remain, they must stay at home and not vote with the tories' right.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I feel a bit sorry for Osborne. He's worked hard to improve the economy just to see Brexiters use that against him and his side. He's now doomed after firing the big gun. The point is the UK's economy need 100,000 - 150,000 EU migrants a year, in construction, old people care homes, hospitality...
