EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

All home made bikes to be preceded by a person on foot carrying a large pirate flag is the law to come after this one.

The postage will go down a bit when you register - then they know where you live so their calculation is more precise. That said it is the kind of place where you want to order lots of stuff at once or just the motor and have the wheel built locally.

    Gravel Bikes

When I was researching I came across a guy who had put a Sunrace 11-40 on a road bike. I think he was using a trekking rear mech which is compatible with road shifter pull.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Wasn't Portugal on the short list of EU countries on the way down the drain with Greece? They voted in a socialist government which got rid of the austerity program and since have been doing quite well.

    BBSHD measurements

FS and bad chainline = problems. Bad chainline is already a pain on a hard-tail! That is the bit you have to get right and a 100 mm BBSHD designed for a wide fatbike hub isn't going to help. Get another bike to convert and keep that one for when you need to ride unpowered.

Battery question for bbshd and chainring question

My motor touches the chainstay, it isn't an issue, you only need 1 mm clearance there at the most. I liked the second photo, before I saw it I thought that I had chainline issues... You need to get the motor as close to the chainstay as you can and a bling ring or similar. It isn't too...

    BBSHD measurements

The bling ring makes a nice chainline on a 68 mm motor, you will be getting close to the bad chainline of not having a bling ring mounted.

    BBSHD measurements

I think we all know the answer to that question d8veh... The 100 mm version works on fat bikes because the hubs are larger, Almost 2 cm of additional offset will make for an unworkable chainline on anything else.

    Update on N.I. e-bike regs.

My take is that NI can be neither member of the EU nor of the UK, its laws in this case are estranged from both of those unions...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think the EU will be better of with the UK out and to keep you company we will give you Poland and Hungary, you can start up some kind of ex-members club with them. If you insist you can have Catalonia as well, Northern Italy might be a bit more complicated...

    Taking e-Bike on plane

If you ship batteries from the UK to Portugal (both countries in the EU, no border for goods...) they will go by road and a little bit of rail. It will take them about 3 days to get there. I don't understand what your fascination with air freight is all about? It will probably take just as long.
