    E folders under a grand?

This is the newer Seago bike which has the 10Ah battery. The earlier model had an 8.8 Ah battery for which I couldn't source a replacement. There is one which is very similar but just slightly larger so wouldn't fit. I think replacements can be found for this bike and the spec is very good...

    E folders under a grand?

It was actually my Seago (earlier model, not City) which I sold because I couldn't source replacement batteries and Seago couldn't help either. I would be cautious of internal batteries unless they are generic.

    E folders under a grand?

Be a bit careful with the Dawes though. The 6.6Ah battery is very small and I had to sell a bike with an internal battery because they can be very difficult to source and uneconomical to re-cell. I like the disc brakes though.

    E folders under a grand?

I have the Basis Finch and reviewed it (still not published on site though) and a neighbour has the Basis Osprey. We're both very happy with our choices and spec although I prefer my Finch due to the disc brakes and the battery can be interchanged with my full-size bike. One my main reasons...

Advice Needed Please, Bought New E-Bike But Doesn't Work

It sounds as though the battery on/off labels are the wrong way around. If the battery is switched off then the LED charge indicator shouldn't light (or just once then fade). Will the bike switch on when the battery is in the 'off' position, as marked on the battery?

Advice Needed Please, Bought New E-Bike But Doesn't Work

I assume you have keys with the batteries to switch on the power. Does the computer/display on the handlebars switch on to indicate power is getting through?

    Sea Go City Lite

The contacts were exposed on my Seago E-power when folded too and will apply to all folders with an internal battery. I just ensured the battery contacts were protected, if only by wedging a piece of sponge over them if vulnerable in transit and never had any problems in +5 years of regular...

    Ebike Question

Unless my battery is running low, I leave the power switched on throughout a ride rather than keep switching it on for the hills and smaller inclines. I normally ride 25-30 miles in undulating countryside which wouldn't be possible with an e-bike.

    Lightest Electric Bike

I have the Basis Finch folder. It's 19kg incl extras - lighter than some but not lightweight.

Sending a folding electric bike by post?

I would insure a bike because it's valuable if it gets lost. Claiming, however, can be another matter. I am currently in a dispute with Parcel2go.com/MyHermes for a package which they have lost in transit. All evidence has been supplied in addition to their own tracking screenshots but...

Sending a folding electric bike by post?

Tuffnells will take folding bikes and I sent one last month. Just pack it into a box, folded (cheaper for a smaller package) with as much padding as possible eg bubble wrap and pack the battery separately within the box. I would also take a photo of the bike inside the box and then the...

Just took plunge and bought my first electric bike oxygen s cross mtb mk11 Ex demo from them direct

Sounds good. I have an Oxygen bike bought in 2016 and it's been brilliant. When I had a query, I found the MD offered excellent personal service and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Oxygen bike in the future.

    Lockdown

I'm still going out for permitted socially-distant bike rides but I live in a rural area with deserted country lanes and barely see anyone. There's hardly any traffic and I've even seen ducks and chickens out on the roads.

    info required

I can do 60 miles on my 15Ah 36V battery, possibly more when new, so 71 miles sounds reasonable to me if it's a large capacity battery. It depends largely on the terrain (hilly here), whether there are any headwinds, her level of fitness (ie how much power she is using), your wife's weight...

    battery for charging ebike batteries

I think it would be easier to simply use a campsite for the night with EHU! As a dedicated wildcamper myself, I can understand you might not want to take this route but I think it's going to be the most practical if you're wanting to use a microwave, hairdryer and charge e-bikes.

how drivers see you based on the clothes you wear.

An interesting follow-on from the earlier 'invisibility cloak' thread. Personally I stick to hi-viz yellow during the daytime and reflective with lights after dusk. Where possible I try to avoid cycling after dark although that's mostly to avoid pot-holes on our unlit lanes.

    Which bike

I have an Oxygen bike. Never had a single problem and when I once had a query, the chap at Oxygen was especially helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Oxygen again.
